Q: Can I wash the comb or would ut ruin the wood? Will this be good for detangling naturally kinky matted hair ? Please help

I have washed mine and it seemed to holding up. No change in colour or sign of mould. My son and I both use them in our natural kinky hair, I have 2 texture 4b and 4c, mostly c. The comb can come apart, not sure how, found one of my unused one like that.
