I bought this set of books to read with my granddaughter. We alternated in reading pages which worked well as each page has about the same amount of text and just enough text for beginning readers. The stories are simple but have developed and likable characters doing fun things together. The illustrations help tell the story and have their own humor. Best for children at the end of first grade or early second reading level. The attractive box keeps the books together nicely.

Cynthia Rylant is such an amazing author! These Annie and Snowball books have been perfect for our 4 year old. She carries the box around all over by the handle and constantly asks us to read them to her. She has 2 favorite books, but enjoys all of them and the box set is very much worth it! We highly recommend these, Henry and Mudge, and Mr. putter and tabby for great books by Cynthia Rylant!
