Q: Anyone have mystery snails in the same tank as this? How do you prevent them from going in and getting stuck?

I do keep a few mystery snails in my aquarium with my Bottlenose Pleco. On occasion there is a snail that gets into the cave but it is not very often and does not create a big issue. I don't know of a way to keep them out.

Q: I see mutiple size options here. Is this the correct size for bristlenose or should I go up to a medium?

I use size small to breed my L144a bristlenose plecos. I've had over a dozen spawns in mine and the BNs have completely abandoned the terracotta plant watering spike I was using before. My plecos top out at 3.5" to 4" max when full grown, for reference.

Q: Would this work for a cave for dwarf crayfish? Thinking about putting a portion of it under the substrate.

I think it should work for a Dwarf Crayfish. I use it for Khuli Loaches mostly burried in the substrate aswell. They love it and it is barely visible in the tank.
