Easy to install
I needed to connect two monitors to my mac M1. I connected both of them to the Hyper through the HDMI ports. I just clicked on the application that popped into my mac and it automatically connected both screens

Works great, but had to install software to use
This product claims to be a plug and play, but on my MacBook Pro with the Apple M1 chip, the drive never appeared on my computer. I am not tech savvy, so I do not know how to go searching about my computer's setting and drives to find something plugged in if it doesn't show up on the main screen or top toolbar or with a prompt asking if I want to trust the device that has been plugged in. The drive didn't exist on my computer. I tried shutting down, then restarting, I found help articles and comments from the apple community and several you tube videos...all to no avail. So, I gave up and gave in, went to the website, downloaded the needed things, and away I went. I now have three screens - main laptop screen and 2 monitors! I can have them mirrored OR as independent screens. This has been life-changing for my WFH setup, though I don't love that it is technically recording my screens in order to split into 3 screens.I do not have my laptop charger plugged into this, so I can't speak to whether this can charge at the same time. I do have a usb mouse plugged in and it is fine. The only thing I have noticed as far as visual quality, the colors on my 2 monitors is different. They are the exact same model monitor, with the exact same color settings selected, so in theory, the colors should be identical if moved from one screen to the other, but this is not my experience. There seems to be some saturation from one to the other. If I place a window half on each screen, the color is very different, even though it is the same webpage or program. I also notice some blurriness on one of the screens vs the other. Again, I am not tech savvy so I have no idea what is causing this or how to fix it.Overall, I think this works great but definitely room for improvement from an "average, non-tech savvy" consumer perspective. Tech people always assume they've put stuff in layman's terms and/or that it is so easy anyone can use it, but I just don't think they actually have non-tech people review or test their products! So needless to say, next time I upgrade my laptop, I will be purchasing whatever version that allows 2+ monitors without needing a workaround or screen recording software.I'm grateful that this exists and recommend for anyone who is limited by Apple's default settings for external monitors!

Powering two external monitors without a glitch
Have been using it for a few months now and super happy with it. It works great and you can set your monitor arrangements any way you want. When is running is multi monitor mode, you can't play Netflix or any other streaming service that uses DRM not even in your main screen, since the device seems to be capturing the screen somehow and the DRM will block the image (you can still hear the audio).

The best USB-C hub for Mac
It is the best USB-C hub for Mac devices. I like the HyperDrive products; their build quality is good.
