I purchased these glasses for fine-detail model assembly and painting. When I put these on, there was no magnification noticed, at all. They do allow the user to see items closer than standard reading glasses, so perhaps they are 2.0 diopters, but there was no discernable magnification factor for me. I would not recommend these glasses.

Even though I have regular prescription glasses and reading glasses, for close work I needed to have some stronger eyeglasses. While browsing online I came across this item (OKH 160 % Magnifying Glasses, wearable magnifier hands-free for close work, reading, sewing, hobby craft, light weight, 2 pack) on Amazon for a good price and I immediately purchased them. As usual the quick delivery service was great. As soon as I received them, I began trying these glasses to view smaller print and small objects; however, I discovered I had to use them along with my regular glasses to see actually see through these kinds of magnifying glasses. I thought they were only fairly useful in this respect. If you have trouble reading very small print you may want to check out these 160 % magnifying glasses. Rating: 3 Stars. Joseph J. After my cataract surgery I no longer need glasses for distance, but small print and close viewing are difficult so I needed a little help. I tried these and they do the job. They are reasonably comfortable and acceptably durable. I keep a pair in the car and a couple of more at home. They clear up the closeup vision and allow me to read without difficulty. One pair broke in the middle between the two lenses and had to be replaced. The main problem I have is the rubber nose piece. It keeps coming off and has to be put back on. It hurts a little if I try to use them without it. Other than that, I am quite pleased.

Does not magnify very much. Save your money.

I do very small detailed work in avionics. These magnified "cheaters" are perfect for close in, highly detailed magnified work. Light weight. I would not expect these to stand up to any kind of abuse. These are suitable for bench work or work in an environment where you don't expect them to hit anything, or be subject to any kind of chemical contact. that is not what these are for. these are not safety glasses rated, so keep that in mind when ordering. I can use these in my line of work without any safety rules issues.

I've asked my eye doctor for years if they could make my prescription reading glasses magnify like normal reading glasses do, but they always said no -- but this solves my problem! They do not completely cover my huge prescription glasses but that doesn't seem to affect how they work for me.

Fits well and is light-weight. Ideal for vision works requiring static magnification.
