My daughter loves these hair markers. For reference, she has dark brown hair and the colors showed on her hair . Only negative would be the colors transferring onto her pillow and dry to air when the colors start to fase. She has pretty much used them all up. I will definitely buy again!

These are a lot of fun but not super easy to use on a little kid. I wish the instructions were more detailed because it took some trial and error to get the color on nicely. The colors are pretty bright but also feel pretty waxy and makes the hair look dirty, but I expected this so it's fine. The colors do not rub off on pillows which I was impressed with and they wash out very easily. Overall, a fun temporary change and good for kids. I don't think I'd use these on adults or teens just because of how greasy it looks.

I have colored my hair for years and lately, my daughter has asked about adding fun pops of color to her hair. Yes, as a mom, I've been hesitant to let her add any color to her hair. I always worry about damaging her hair or the color never completely going away. She finally wore me down and I ordered this fun GirlZone Hair Chalk Set for her. Of course, I tried it on my hair first. I was quite pleased with the ease of applying the hair chalk (no mess!), the vibrancy of colors (plus the great color selection!), and most of all, how well it washed out/faded. Even with my color damaged hair, I had no trouble removing the hair chalk color. My daughter really enjoyed this set because it gave her the chance to experiment with fun hair color and she could even apply it herself! Definitely a great set for younger girls who want to express themselves with fun hair colors and for moms who don't want anything damaging their daughter's hair.

This hair chalk is relatively easy to use, but time consuming if you want to color more than one small strip of hair. Also, it works much better on lighter hair. All of the colors easily showed up on my blond haired daughters hair, but on my daughter with brown hair, only the very strong colors were visible. It also faded fairly quickly except at the scalp. Overall, it was a good product for small kids to play and pretend, but I wouldn’t recommend for anyone who wants lasting color or has darker hair.

I was really excited to use this product with my daughter (3 y/o), but was disappointed. First, it's hard to apply. I had to have her lie down on a piece of cardboard and spread her hair out so that we had something to draw against. The pink showed up really well in her hair (she's blonde), but the silver didn't show up at all. I don't know how you would apply it if you have short hair, as there's nothing to draw against. But the main problem I have with this is the texture of your hair afterward! As others have said, it felt like wax almost. For illustration, after I had my daughter lie down and applied this, when she sat up her hair stuck up all over the place. I then brushed it through, but it was SUPER difficult to brush and pulled out strands of her hair. Her hair then felt rough to the touch. I was hoping it would just be a one time problem and afterward her hair would go back to normal, but until we washed the color out, it was really gross to touch. Imagine applying an entire can of hairspray to your hair, sleeping on it, then trying to brush it out the next morning. I am requesting a refund.
