UK four CD set contains a quartet of albums by the best-selling British band led by Chris Martin. This box contains the band’s first four full-length releases: Parachutes (2000), A Rush of Blood To The Head (2002), X&Y (2005) and Viva la Vida Or Death And All His Friends (2008). Review: A must-have for long-term fans and new discoverers alike! - I have been a huge Coldplay fan for quite a while, but I have never brought myself to purchase their entire albums. Don't wait to do it, just buy it now! This contains their first 4 major releases (Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, X&Y, and Viva la Vida). It does not include Prospekt's March, Mylo Xyloto, or Ghost Stories. The packaging was excellent, coming plastic wrapped in a cardstock box holding the 4 jewel cases. The individual disc cases were nothing special, the same as any CD would come in. There is a typo on the packaging. For X&Y, there is a 13th track that is not listed entitled Til' Kingdom Come. I found it weird that it was not listed, however when I imported into iTunes (use Apple Lossless for best results), Gracenote found the listing and it included that track. Definitely not a con! No discs were scratched, and there were no playback flaws at all. The albums themselves are absolutely exemplary, and it makes you wonder how (no offense), people fall for noise pollution like All About That Bass, and Blank Space. My personal favorite is A Rush of Blood to the Head, and it is great listened to in one sitting in order. The tracks are a mixing of somber, mellow songs (Scientist, Trouble, Fix You) and upbeat pop-rock songs (Speed of Sound, Talk, Lost). Standout tracks from the whole pack: Trouble, Yellow, Shiver, Politik, In My Place, The Scientist, Clocks, Speed of Sound, Talk, Fix You, Life in Technicolor, Violet Hill, Lost, Viva la Vida, Death and All His Friends. This package is at a great price as it is cheaper than purchasing each album separately. All in all, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway from whatever the radio is playing these days, and wants a taste of what music should sound like. Review: Great 4 cd pack - Good deal and great music.

Flimsy Box
My son was so excited for this. He's collecting CDs so he has hard copies of everything he likes before physical goes away. The flimsy box/cover is very disappointing. I realize it's a good deal but seriously? The cardboard could've been a little thicker. It's still a good deal at around $25 we got it for.

Amazing collection of Great Music for less than half of what they would cost individually.
This is an amazing deal. I thought maybe I would get a single case with 4 CDs for this price, but i was wrong! all 4 CDs in their original packaging that fit nicely in the sleeve. One of the best things about this is that the song listing for each cd is on the back of the sleeve so if you cant remember the name of a song or a track title you dont have to dig the case out. I am a huge coldplay fan and I needed to replace my my collection so this was an amazing deal. If you go to any store you will pay at least $12 for each album. Anybody who was ever on the ropes about buying any Coldplay Cds can get their first four masterpieces for a price that is really unbelievable! For People who are wondering if they should buy all 4 albums... do it! Parachutes is a great acoustic/soft rock album with Songs like Yellow, Shiver and my favorite Everythings Not Lost. A Rush of Blood to the Head is one of the best Albums of the new Millennium - Amazing mixture of Rock/Soft Rock/Acoustic that is literally a Masterpiece from start to finish. X & Y is a great album that has mixtures of electronica and stadium rock. Fix You is an amazing song along with Speed of Sound and Swallowed in the Sea. And My personal favorite Viva La Vida (Or Death and All Of His Friends) is arguably the best rock album in the past 10 years. Put it on and from start to finish there isnt one bad song. So if you are bored of the same old nonsense that infects the airwaves today, do yourself a favor and pick up four great albums for a amazing price!

The Evolution of Chris Martin and his Band
If you are a recent fan of Coldplay as I am and have their newest album it is fun to buy this set and go back in time to the beginnings of a musical odyssey. Chris Martin reveals an almost naïve vulnerability in his first album Parachutes and then evolves to an uncontained ecstasy in later albums. His voice really matures throughout these four albums. To me Chris Martin is a lyrical genius who captures real emotions and situations in poetic beauty. Some of the time he channels his pain into beautiful expressions of love gained and lost. I feel he has good insight into the human experience. At first he is singing about how he would bleed himself dry then in the last album he sings about not wanting to be part of death and all his friends. So it seems like he has a heightened consciousness where he values himself more in the end. Before I bought this set I thought X&Y was the best album, but I was very surprised by A Rush of Blood to the Head. I'm almost thinking now that that album is better. The truth is when you get this set of CDs you will go into a Coldplay zone and play these albums over and over again for days on end. They really are that good and I admit I've been obsessing over them. I never had a band I liked this much in all my 48 years of living. To me Coldplay is the ultimate listening experience. ~The Rebecca Review
