Hush Puppies Men's Gus

The shoes are very comfortable. They fit exactly as I had hoped. There is plenty of lateral and arch support. They are incredibly light weight. I will be anticipating a quick wear down of the soles on the shoe given the light weight material, but this will have to be a review follow-up. All in all what I have come to expect from Hush Puppies. Given the way the industry is moving with cheaper and cheaper materials and manufacturing, this company appears to be maintaining quality control. Not so for Rockport.

I had trouble (locally) finding shoes that fit. I went to a boot shop to have my foot measured then allowed that measurement to guide me in buying these shoes. They fit GREAT!! They are ULTRA lightweight. I wish there was a little more arch support but inserts can help with that. They were not that expensive and they are really comfortable. I have only had them a week so I cannot speak to durability--but if I limit them to sporadic wear I am hopeful that they will last at least a couple of years.

I clean carpets for a living. I need a shoe that I can work in, keep my feet dry, and that is comfortable. This shoe is the only shoe for me that works for the work that I do. It gets wet everyday and still looks good after several months. I am spoiled by the fact that it weighs almost nothing unlike similar overpriced shoes. The only drawback is that the sole of the shoe wears out quickly.

One of the lightest and most comfortable shoes my husband has. He got the Hush Puppies Gil Slip-On over a year ago and enjoyed them so much that he bought another pair last month and then decided to try the Gus Oxford which he bought using my account. He has not been disappointed so far, though he has only used this once. They are just as comfortable as the Gil Slip-On which he has used for over a year.

A tiny bit large, but perhaps as they age I’ll be able to lace them a little tighter if the uppers give way. Very comfy - a little wider than I expected. They look real good!

This is my third pair, replacing a pair that I’ve had for over 10 years and they seem identical to both previous pairs. You can’t beat the wear and durability plus they are very lightweight and comfortable: Great everyday shoes.

These look good and I liked the look of them, but just didn't fit well at all,. Ordered these shoes in 10.5 EE (wide), but had some problems with them. The length was as expected (good). The shoes were too narrow and so particularly uncomfortable. I'm returning them for a wider (EEE) size) Normally 2E width shoes fit my feet well. I didn't see comments that these shoes ran narrow; in fact reviews from 2013 said that these "give extra room in the instep and toe area". I just can't understand how these 10.5 wide EE shoes were so tight.
