Perfect balance between Merrells and Altras.
Took a gamble on having these shipped overseas and very happy I did. I loved the Merrell Bare Access and Trail Glove lines for years, but the recent changes to sizing and fit has completely ruined them for me.I tried a pair of Altra Escalante 2s hoping to find a zero drop shoe with a little more cushioning. I found the banana shaped sole was unnaturally curved, and they were so cushioned that they made parts of my feet go numb while running. After reading suggestions for zero drop shoes I discovered Topo Athletic. The ST-3s were the perfect balance. Naturally aligned, spacious toe box. More cushioning than the Bare Access, but not nearly as much as the Escalante. Also extremely lightweight. My only concern after about a dozen runs is that the minimal rubber on the bottom might lead to the unprotected portions of the midsole wearing quickly. Otherwise very happy with them.Excited to try other models of Topo Athletics.

Go-to Shoe Now
Looking for a comfortable 0 drop shoe? This is it. I looked up various 0 drop shoes that are best in the market in 2020 (running websites) and felt that this one was sleek in design while providing the benefits of running barefoot. Make sure you look up the size chart online and measure your foot accordingly before ordering. I nailed the size on the spot and DEFINITELY feel the difference between this shoe and other bulky shoes. These are lightweight and really have you focus on form and honestly..my runs feel more enjoyable after putting in ~10 miles for the first week with them. The cadence and “feel” of my body and ground makes it feel primal. Good quality shoe, barefoot benefits (not exactly, but real close), offers good protection, lightweight, and a slick design? YES. I may order another pair in the soon future! Thank you Topo 🤙

200 miles in still holding up well.
Amateur runner here. I'm mostly a road runner and I used to run only in Merrell Bare Access (1,2,3,4) and since they switched to the flex and had all the durability issues I decided to search for a new pair to replace them. I've tried Alta Escalante's 1.5...way to much give, felt like walking on foam. Lems Primal 2 - fit great but not enough padding for running on pavement, also didn't breath well. Next enter the Topo St-3...this shoe was a great compromise between the two. This shoe has just enough stack height to absorb a bit of the strike when running on pavement but not to much to not allow you feedback on what your running on (you still feel large rocks if you land on them). There is plenty of room in the toebox that I can spread my toes and have a natural relaxed feeling when wearing them. The only complaint I have is that the back of the heal is a little too high for my liking, in fact it does cause a little bit of chaffing on the back if I'm not careful. My workaround is a bit of tape along my achilles, longer socks, and tying the shoe with a loop lacing. Other than that one complaint I'm loving this shoe. I'm hopeful that in a future design they drop the back of the shoe down 1cm or 2 and it'll be just about perfect for me.I've waited until I got about 200 miles on them before writing this because I feel if a shoe can't make it at least that far they really are not worth it. And good news these have held up. I posted a couple pictures of the tread wear that I've had. There is obvious wear were I strike on the forefoot but they should hopefully hold up for at least another 1-2 hundred miles before I'll retire them, not the best but they are comfortable and have allowed me to increase my distance because of the little extra stack height/sole cushion from what I had been using. I typically do 13-16 mile runs in these and I have no hot spots, no issues.

My new favorite shoe
Things that I like:-0mm drop-Wide toe box-Firm midsole-Plenty of rubber on the soleI'm a casual runner and got these to replace my Altra Escalante shoes. I really wanted to like the Escalante, but it wasn't the right shoe for me. The Escalante has a much softer midsole and it felt "marshmellowy" to me. Also there's not a lot of rubber on the sole, so it started to show wear really quickly. The Topo ST-3 has a much firmer midsole and more rubber. For me this ends up working much better. Super happy with my purchase. So far I haven't found anything that I don't like. I have about 30 miles on the shoes and everything is going well, no hotspots anywhere, nice planted feel when running and comfortable for me. We'll see how they hold up over time, but I believe these will do very well.

Family is tired of my new shoes
Absolutely my favorite show of all time. My kids are so sick of me talking about how cool my new shoes are hahaha. But how can I help it?? They make me so happy… my kids do too I suppose.I have big, wide feet. I love to run! I almost never have a shoe that makes running enjoyable. But wow, the ST-3 is almost better than my own foot.It hits all my check boxes: light, flat, breathable, wide toe box, strong grip, thin but effective padding, and they actually look cool- like a real shoe, not like some of these plastic demigorgons that basically eat your feet and vomit up colors indicative of the pain they will produce.

Truly a great running shoe
I run 4 miles 4 or 5 days a week in these shoes and they've been great. I probably spent a little more on these than I normally do on a sneaker, but it's been well worth it. I found that the size ran a little larger than the Nikes or Under Armors I normally get. I've worn a 10 1/2 forever, but they slipped along the heels on the TOPOs. Returned them for a 10 and they fit perfect.

Size is smaller.
The shoe fit was smaller, toe pocket much smaller. I am trying a size 12. I wore 11.5 in St-2. Had two pair before they changed. Do do not like new one as well.

New favorite
I've been searching for a replacement for my old Scoras that had 1200 miles on them and started to fall apart. Tried some racing flats from Saucony but they never felt right. These fit really well. Sizing is perfect (I wear 10). Toe box is wide. The cushioning is just enough for you to still feel the run but not to get overly painful. Overall, I'm happy with this replacement.
