Big help for learning disabled.
Purchased this to help with reading and spelling rather than for language translation. The scanning pen was great to hear the highlighted text read back. The camera option had a written translation, but I don't think there is a way to hear it read back like the scanning option can. A lot of other scanner pens didn't have the camera option, but I wish I could hear the text rather than just see it. This would be great with items that cannot be scanned with the pen, such as street signs, etc. It took a little playing with to figure out some things. The speaking speed was under the volume setting. That was a little confusing, but a nice option when we figured it out. I like the pictorial icons on the touchscreen. I think this is easier for someone who has problems reading as compared to having to choose from written options. I wish this technology was available decades ago!

Impressive product
I only recently began learning French. I can simply scan the sentences to translate them from English to French or French to English using this pen. This is much faster than looking up information on a computer or smartphone. I also found that the two-way speech translation function can be used for one person. I used it as a translator: I spoke to it in English, and the translated French appeared on the screen. The pen can also read the translations, which saves me from having to keep looking at the screen. According to their website, the pen supports 112 different languages. I'm sure they've never considered using it in this manner, as I did. I figured I'd share this little trick with everyone. If you're still using a translation pen from ten years ago, you should seriously consider switching to this one. This pen is capable of both speech and scanning! It appears to be a useful tool for language learners, in my opinion.

conveniet to use -- A Low-Cost Translator for Non-Native Speakers
The media could not be loaded. I'm now a foreign student in the United States, and it has greatly aided my studies by allowing me to complete reading assignments much more quickly than before. I'm not the type of person who wants to focus on every single word in a paper; instead, I need to understand the overall context. I used to use a scanner to digitize documents or books, but it was often too much trouble, especially if I only needed a paragraph here and there. This scanning pen was introduced to me by a friend, and it made it simple to scan on the go. It's very light, fits easily in a pocket or briefcase, and can be used as a stand-alone device without needing to be connected to a computer.

Confused
It's a bit to hard to use with the patient it gives, then to have to connect to upload what u scanned. Was not great for the price.

Excellent Tool for a salesman
I am a car salesman. This pen is perfect for me to communicate with customers who speak various languages (Chinese, Russian, Spanish, etc.). It can translate text or speech from English to other languages and vice versa. The response speed of this translation pen amazed me, it helped me solve a lot of problems and communicate with customers without any issues. It's simple to use when he needs to scan the contract sentences and translate them into different languages.

So slow
Returned this imediatly. Ots good for translating, bit the reading is so slow, like 4 times slower than talking speed and does more harm than good when trying to understand what i was reading
