I hadn't hd Tarquins before, but read some reviews and decided to try I got the black cherry and also have the blood orange. The black cherry was definitely not what I expected sweetish but not overly so, but would I say this was a gin? If given it blind fold probably not, no. Not a tonic lover, so diet lemonade for me, which it goes well with. This can easily be drank neat for sipping. What I will say is that I do like it, but it's very different to a normal gin I think, Would I buy again. Yes I would. The blood orange though, really over shadowed the black cherry. Another that can be drank neat, again slightly sweet, but my. Pour this into glass and its shouting fruit before you do anything else This is absoloutely gorgeous, its bitter from the orange pith, but then slightly sweet, it's a fruit bowl of ripe fruit you have thrown your nose into the middle of. As i said I would by the black cherry again but only after I had first bought the blood orange of the two the blood orange is the winner and yes you can tell it's also a gin.

I was bought a bottle of this wonderful gin in the summer and it is delicious. Ice and slice of lime- perfect 👌 So had to treat myself for Xmas with another bottle especially as it was such a good price.

If you like gin and cherries, this is an absolute no-brainer. Tarquin’s is a fabulous brand, amazing quality gin and small enough to still feel like a special discovery. Bottles are hand-sealed in wax and the stills all have names. It’s cute beyond belief, but the product stands up to the taste test without relying on the cosy back story. It’s a fruity but not overly sweet gin, probably nice on its own but that’s not my thing. Tonic is an ok pairing, soda is better, but this flavoured spirit with it’s lemony undertones makes a fantastic French 75 - shake with ice, lemon juice and sugar syrup, strain into a flute and top up with Champagne or Prosecco, depending on how flush you’re feeling. Give it a stir. Make another.
