PowerSmart 20V Cordless Reciprocating Saw with 2.0Ah Battery and Charger, 3pcs Wood Blades and 2pcs Metal Blades Included

I was looking for a battery-operated saw that was safer to use than chain versions of comparable size. The only concern I had was the ability of it to cut through thicker wood like a chain saw. That hasn't been a problem thus far-- but of course I'm not expecting it to do much more than cut average wood. It's a slower, but more controlled cut than a chain saw would provide, but I like the ease in handling and lighter weight. The only thing that could be problem for some is the battery life--but I can live with that so giving it 5 stars.

It is easy to use and it cuts fast.

I purchased this tool primarily to cut large tree roots in order to remove stumps. Please be advised that in order to do so, I had to purchase long blades made for wood, the supplied blades were not suitable for this specific purpose. You could utilize the supplied blades if your intention is to cut smaller roots, however. The roots I cut were over 6 inches in diameter. This tool performed extremely well at cutting large roots. My only complaint is the battery life, which I felt was too short. If you are digging out a large stump with multiple large roots, you'll have to charge it a few times. Not a big deal, but worth noting. This tool is definitely durable and a real workhorse. In addition to cutting large tree roots, I used it to cut metal pipes with the blades that were included, and it cut them with ease. I also used this tool to cut branches from trees. Overall, I think this was a good purchase and worth the price. This is a tool I anticipate using in the future for multiple home applications. If your goal is to cut tree roots, this tool will do an excellent job and save you a tremendous amount of time and effort. It costs a few hundred dollars to hire someone to grind a stump, but you can dig the stump yourself and have the job done right for the cost of this tool and a little bit of your own time.

Gifted my husband with this. He has a lot of big saws, but never a little one. He find it easy to use and very handy. It is great for small jobs. He really appreciates the ease of use in small areas.

I purchased to cut some limbs off of my trees and bushes in my yard. Product is lite weight, easy to use and the battery has a long life. I would purchase this again.

I hit the buy button before reading the reviews and I immediately tried cancel the order after I read the reviews. The seller ignored my request and sent it out anyway & then when you hit on the return package it states that they want $6 something to return it. If the seller canceled it when I asked I wouldn’t have received it. So against my better judgement I went ahead and decided to see if it would work for what I needed it to. Pure junk. Wouldn’t even cut through wood. Not powerful enough so I basically waisted $$$ on a product that is clearly junk. I will be looking into seeing about blocking this seller so I won’t buy from them again.

In my younger days, I've used the metal cased commercial grade saws a lot. This one is plastic cased, but doesn’t cost $175.00. This is saw is perfect for those projects around the house where using a hand saw is no fun, like cutting a 2" galvanized fence post. Hand saw: 1 hour Sawzall: 3 minutes.
