Used these to upgrade the factory speakers to Rockford 6.5 inch speakers, so the brackets fit the truck well enough the speakers didn’t fit in the brackets as easy the speaker basket was to big to fit in the bracket but I was able to trim the inside ring of the bracket till they accepted the speakers, install would probably been simple with the right sized speakers as the ones I had measured 6 3/4 inch

Product fit wonderfully, but I do have to note, you have to cut some of the tabs off in order to get it to fit correctly or you can cut off one or two and screw it into the door frame to make a more secure bracket.

Some reviews said they got these to work with 6.5" speakers. I do not know how, as the housing of the 6.5" speaker is 1/2" to big to fit in the diameter of the so called 6.5" bracket. Some people say you need to trim tabs. Okay.... That is for the mounting to the door. etc... no tabs to make the speaker opening bigger. I tried this with Skarr 6.5", Kicker 6.5", MB Quartz 6.5 and Memphis Audio... No GO!Reading a few reviews on another website... They actually say this will work. But when you look at the answers to questions.... They (that website) actually say... "These are for 6.5" and if your speaker is 6.5", we consider that as a 6.75"""""". Yeah.... You read that right! These do not fit 90% of the 6.5" speakers.On the suburban front speakers.. we just screwed them into the door with self tapping screws. Problem solved, no issues. Sent these back.

Used for my 1996 GMC K2500 Suburban. I had a 99 Chevy Tahoe before and the speakers just screwed in so I was soo annoyed to find out that my new old suburban used brackets. However, I find this, ordered and it worked perfectly!It has multiple clips for different vehicles, and they are easy to remove, I just put the speaker in, and then used some pliers to snap the pieces I didnt need (probably a lot easier an convenient with a knife, but I was lazy and didnt want to go back to the toolbox). It fits perfectly, hold its well, and ...well thats it.It works, its a good sturdy product, and I am about to order a second pair for my rear speakers. If you have the brackets, just get em, its so easy.

I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 Ext Cab. Taking the front door panel off is a sinch (check YouTube). I got these to mount my 6.5" speakers, which the mounts say they can accommodate. First off, these mounts fit/snap perfectly into the truck. They are clearly made for this truck/style, but my 6.5" speakers did not mount to the brackets. The holes on my speakers were too wide to fit into the brackets' prefabricated slots. However, I was able to drill my own holes into the brackets and mount them that way. This worked perfectly fine, but was a little annoying since I bought the brackets in order to avoid having to alter anything. Just be careful if/when you do drill your own holes to make sure it's nicely centered. The first set I drilled it was slightly off, so when I went to drill my fourth hole, it wouldn't fit onto the bracket. I had to buy a whole new set because having only three screws holding it in made it rattle. I also bought separate insulation stripping and put a lot on the back of my speaker and the back of the bracket to ensure no rattling.

I know Amazon says this will not fit a 1996 k1500 however I purchased them anyway because I know they will. Makes installing aftermarket 6-1/2 or 6-3/4 speakers a breeze. They are setup for different vehicles so you have to cut off the tabs that do not apply to your application.I installed HK component with built in crossover was very easy and sounds great

the wire harness adapters worked fine, but the brackets did not fit on my 6.5 jbl stage 3s

I thought it was 1 per order . Turns out it's 2 so now I have 8 instead of 4 fits perfectly though well made

Bought to mount speakers in my 98 Suburban. When I went to install the speakers I realized these do not fit a 6.5" speaker as advertised.

Perfect fit!! Superb item.

This item had 2 size options. I needed to cut off the other size in order for it to fit my vehicle. I used a dremel with a cut off wheel and it only took a couple of minutes.Once modified, it fit my 2008 GM MiniVan, and should also fit 2005-2009 Chevrolet uplander, Pontiac Montana, Buick Terazza, Saturn Relay.I hope this helps!
