I absolutely love this book. The poetry is beautiful and reminded me of what it truly means to live life.

Even if you are not a follower of poetry, you will love this book. The poems are so approachable and relatable. I find myself going back to many of them repeatedly. I have gotten copies for friends and for my daughter and all of them have said how they have been drawn to so many of the poems because they speak to their spirits. This is a wonderful book.

This book came to my hands through my daughter Lara. What a blessing! The author is able to communicate her feelings so raw that you can feel an intense connection with her. As a woman, mother and wife I saw myself on every page. Thank you for this treasure. Can’t wait to read more books from this talented woman.

There’s an old saying, “walk in my shoes, then you’ll know my story.” Ms. Brooks has indeed let one try on her shoes for a while. Each poem lets a little bit more of her soul slip into your mind. Some poems are happy and uplifting while others tell of strife that must be overcome. It is indeed a soul stirring book.

If you're looking for a new modern poet, you found her. Her realism and mastery of words and imagery is truly uplifting.

This author did an amazing job writing from the heart. The poems are heartwarming and thought provoking.
