If you don't like your soluble fiber dosed with sugars, sweeteners, orangey industrial flavorings etc, try Hydrocil. Mixes very well with water. I use it as a thickener for soups. It mixes very well with water because it truly is a fine-ground powder. Found only one place in St. Louis that stocks this, at the rate of about two a month, which we buy out. If you have a low-volume diet (eg. low-carb) this is just what you need to be satisfyingly regular. I don't see it as a medicine at all, just part of the lifestyle. Hydrocil has helped numerous friends in our age group.
