Product Photography: Lighting, Composition, and Shooting Techniques

This review I am writing after completely reading the book ( hard copy ).First of all I wil have to thank author for putting such exhaustive information in a single book !She has done a fabulous job, this is more like one of those guide books that all Product photographers should have on their shelf. This has technical information about light, it's nature and it's interaction with products/objects made of different materials, geometries and context where it sits in.Looking at photos I have shared above, book has 4 sections, I will be honest here.First two sections are a treasure, they form the framework for any product lighting - I would say they are must for any product / still-life photographer.Section 3 & 4, where it comes to application part, I felt book doesn't succeed as shared images doesn't help conveying the principles well and at times images are dark, poorly lit. I would say Pinterest will be better place to look at for similar inspiration.Having said that, it shouldn't devalue the book in any way. As a matter of fact the first of the book ( section 1 & 2 ) delivers so much that it is totally a worth buy and absolute keep on the shelf.My 5 stars are for those first 2 sections !

I skim through the books and different sections. Glad I bought the book. Well organized for reference to do beginning or advance product photography as a hobby or business.

Uno dei migliori libri riguardanti questo tema. L’inglese è abbastanza tecnico e non sempre facilissimo da capire per chi non parla l’inglese fluidamente, secondo me. Vi sono molte tecniche di ripresa e spiega benissimo come utilizzare e posizionare le luci
