Liked the compact size

So I got this cause my daughter was gifted a piano was a little difficult to find a right place for it since my daughter has a stand for her piano but I found a spot put it on and tightened it. It doesn’t fall off works great !

Nice compact mic holder but the weight of a SM58 is too heavy for the 1/2 inch flexible gooseneck. I ended up buying a 3/4 " thicker gooseneck and attached the clamp and that works fine.

This product has potential but there is a flaw in design associated with attaching the stem to the base. There are threads to screw the stem into the base but there is no nut to keep it secure. I went to Home Depot and purchased a 7/16” nut and fastened it to the back of the base. That helped stabilize the stem when the base was attached to the table. The manufacturer could easily add a nut to the design and have something that is more stable and sturdy. As currently designed and packaged, it’s hard to highly rate this product. I was able to make it work but it took a trip to Home Depot. Not optimal. ps: I also had to tighten the mic clip with a Philips head screwdriver. Not a big deal but worth noting.

Used it once yet. Looks sturdy. And the arm is very stiff. It sure won't move once in place.

The product is good, Stiff and not that much free neck.

As a desk mic stand screwed into a base it may be ok.However:As a flexible gooseneck stand it does not cut it. Basically it can make a curve or semi-circle. However that's about it since it is very stiff. So if you are on stage and wanting to move the gooseneck to get the optimum position you will struggle. But the real design flaw in my opinion is that the manufacturer did not make the screw-on clamp end as one solid piece. The fact that the gooseneck screws into the clamp makes this end not strong enough to hold the gooseneck in any vertical position. The weight of an attached SM57 or 58 alone unscrews the end so that you can only use the clamp in a 180 degree or lower configuration. And as I said before, adjusting it isn't that easy.Conclusion: Desk-top use? Sure. But if you are looking for a stage boom mic stand application where you want to clip a second mic to your boom stand so you can mic up an acoustic instrument such as guitar - this product may not be for you. There are other products in this category that will cost you more but will perform better.
