Geiger counter
The instructions were a little confusing..was not sure if it was working right or not. But when I came home from my hospital appointment I turned it on and the numbers starts climbing rapidly. It works great . very helpful little device. Gives you an idea how close you need to be away from people animals etc.

Seems solid
Full disclaimer: I got this to experiment around with. I have no way of determining how accurate or fast it is at the moment. It reads between .12 - .16 uSv/h on my desk typically. According to the web, the background radiation in Dallas is roughly .06 uSv/h. I don't know if something in my vicinity is causing it to read higher or if it's not accurate. That said, it feels solidly constructed and the display is both readable and can be backlit. You can use it either as a real time Geiger counter or a longer term dosimeter. It's pretty straightforward to use but like I said, I cannot comment on its accuracy at the moment.

Bosean radiation detector FS-600 battery power fail
The batter power didn’t work… I tried it fresh out of the box, and only the usb input worked. Basically useless unless it’s plugged in. After I changed the batteries, the same thing. There is something wrong with the battery power circuit. It Really makes me concerned about its accuracy.

Clear and easy to use
This detector is very clear and easy to use. The vendor was even considerate enough to include a small Phillips screw driver, for the compartment, when you need to change batteries. And, it updates, quite efficiently, in real-time (you will notice the changes, within the space, and as you go to different areas or rooms). I just started using this, but I'm already pleased. I know this isn't the most accurate--there are more expensive and precise detectors, particularly for industrial use--on the market. But, this is perfect for home use, and for those who want to begin gaining awareness of the radiation levels around them.

I do not know it work or not.
I do not know it work or not. I buy it is for test Pain relief patch which very effect but has a small round meatal at middle. I concern it may have radiation. Now this meter does not give any reading. I do not know it is meter bad or no radiation. I need some thing prove meter works then sure no radiation.

low sensitivity due to small sensor;
it makes a poor survey instrument. It has a small sensor so it doesn't collect readings very fast unless you are in a very strong, perhaps dangerous, radiation field. It mostly works ok within its limitations. Is there a bug in its plotting mode (called curve) when exposed to a constant and somewhat elevated radiation source (a vintage gas lamp mantle) show significant variation even though the source was constant. this could be because of the small sensor and the statistical variation of the radiation. But consider the modest cost a plus. It probably isn't much different from other low cost devices; they may all use a very small sensor. but typical of low cost devices. the background count is about 1cpm

This instrument will be adequate to protect yourself if you have to shelter against nuclear fallout.
There isn't enough room for me to give a class on surviving nuclear fallout, but having this instrument would enable your survival if you've done your homework and taken some logical 'Prepper' steps. We face nuclear threats in the form of WWIII from multiple sources...some making nuclear threats while actively engaged in war. Can you survive a nuclear attack? it's possible, but ONLY if you've prepared and learned how. Fallout radiation will be persistent and lethal for at least 48 hours after it starts, but it can be MITIGATED enough to save yourself and your family.

This device came in handy after my wife's medical treatment which involved a low level radiation injection. This device picked up the exposure levels right away and could show which areas of the house were unaffected when she was in a bedroom resting. It also told us when the radiation effects had wore off and when the levels had returned to normal.

L'annonce du produit chez Amazon.ca dit que l'appareil est rechargeable, mais le manuel d'instruction dit le contraire. Spécifiquement, la première section du manuel (en anglais), intitulée "Attentions" dit à l'Item 8: "This device can be powered by Type-C interface, but it does not have the charging function."
