Peak Design fanboy finds himself disappointed.
I love Peak Design products, and I've purchased many of them. I've always found their products to be creative, useful, and well crafted. With that said...I bought this everyday messenger and am rather disappointed. The bag was delivered in a clear plastic bag (my everyday sling came in a clear plastic bag as well, but it least had a paper wrap on top of that, with some brand logos so it looks legit instead of one that was stolen from the back of a cargo truck) so I thought it might be a refurb or used item.Another reason I thought the bag I received might have been used is because it was missing the tripod band, but since I didn't know what was supposed to come in the "box" in the first place, I haven't said anything until today.I immediately inspected the bag for any signs of wear and tear. It looked ok based on a quick once over, and then put it aside and went to sleep (I had gotten home late from work and didn't get to open the package until late in the evening).I didn't take it with me on my commute the next day since I didn't have a to plan out how to pack it the night before. I was familiarizing myself with it earlier this morning (please keep in mind, that I have barely even touched this bag since receiving it), and to my ever growing sense of disappointment with the bag, and this transaction overall, I started seeing fraying on some of the various materials, along with loose stitching and loose threads. The last gripe I have with this bag (I don't even know if it's really a gripe, it's more like a point of concern) is that the top hatch that closes over the opening of the bag and fixed into place by the MagLatch, feels like it leaves the contents of the bag exposed. If i underpack the bag, the hatch hangs loose, and it feels like the MagLatch won't be able to keep it shut, since the MagLatch relies on the resistance provided by the metal ladders. But if I overpack, the items at the top of my bag can be seen because of a gap created between the hatch and the sidewall of the bag. Like I said, I don't know if that's a legit gripe or me being paranoid. What I do know though, is that I've had this bag for less than 2 days. It looked like it was a refurb, when I ordered new. It was missing the tripod strap it was supposed to come with. And although the bag has yet to come with me on my commute (it hasn't even been outside yet. it hasn't even left my desk yet.), sparing it from the rigors of daily use, it is already showing signs of wear.... which is ridiculous. All I did today was, get used to the various straps, and try out different combinations of gear + work items to see what I could comfortably bring with me on my commute, but somehow the bag shows slight signs of wear. Loose stitching all over and fraying on the straps (not the main strap, but on the smaller stabilizer straps).I'm really on the fence about returning it. I do like the look of the bag overall, and if the MagLatch does its job the way it's supposed to, it seems like this bag could be yet another creative and useful PD product. However, I can't help but think that if the bag is having build quality issues already, how long will it realistically last before falling apart? Yes I realize PD has a lifetime warranty, but that doesn't apply to cosmetic damage.Maybe the safe thing to do is just return the item while the return window is still open. I have plenty of camera bags anyway. But if anyone has any thoughts, feel free to let me know. Thanks

great quality and fits quite a bit of my gear
Ive really loved this bag, Ive been using this for a while now and it fits my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV camera body with a lens attached plus 3 additional lenses. and all the extra stuff. I would absolutely buy this bag again if I needed one. Plus it looks great. I look very coordinated when I meed clients for photographs. All of Peak Designs gear is really great, I originally backed them on kickstarter and have purchased more since then. Everything is a bit pricey but it lasts so thats what matters

Excellent Bag
I know lots of people have showered this bag and Peak Design’s products with praise, and reviewed every little detail about it, so I’ll keep my review to the unique insight I have to add to the conversation. At the top of the list of things I love about this bag is that this is probably the most comfortable single strap carry bag I have *ever* used. I’m one of those guys that’s a total bag nut with tons of bags and it’s almost unrealistic how well the weight is distributed when it’s on my back. You can fill the bag most of the way up with moderately heavy items before you even start getting to the point where you’re like “Yeah I’m carrying too much for one shoulder and this is gonna hurt after a while”.Anyway, this is hands down my favorite bag I own now. I love the color and, I’m not a photographer so I don’t carry any photo equipment. The bag is still perfect for my use-case.

This is an AMAZING Camera Messenger Bag (and MORE-!!)
Alright. This is an amazing camera bag. Fits 15 inch labtop with a full frame body, couple lenses on the side. There is a pocket for batteries, cables and other miscellaneous things. Stylish. Goes well with jean. Really, you need to buy this-!! You will totally enjoy it-!! IMO, it looks better than the version 2-!!

Favorite bag!
I use this primarily as my work brief case. Very thick, durable material. I have also used it as my camera bag for my DSLR and lenses and it’s definitely my new favorite camera bag too! The Velcro, divider inserts are revolutionary and so versatile. I would highly recommend this and any Peak Design product to anyone.

I did return the bag, but I would still highly recommend it.
For starters I did return the bag, but I would still highly recommend it. The materials and design of the bag are BEST. The quick release clasp in the front, the cool divider design, the storage pocket design and the sleek look are why I ordered the bag and in person it did not disappoint. I love everything about the bag except the weight. It was too heavy for me. Without any gear, it was pushing "this is going to be too much for my shoulder". I am thinking the back pack will be a better fit for me.
