I picked this one because the contouring of the palm looked good. When I initially applied the splint I noticed that I could not tighten the brace around the palm enough. This allows much more wrist movement and does not hold the wrist in the position it should. It also had a lot of stretch and I could not tighten the strap closest to the palm enough...and I am definitely a large as the bottom strap fits just right. The 'pleather' is very much plastic and has a wavy appearance. I think if you need very light support and do not mind some movement this would be comfortable for you. If you need good stability of the wrist, I do not think this is a good choice

So, my wrist is about 8.5 inches. But I guess I got beefy arms because it barely fits on my arm.However! Unlike the other 2, too small splints. This one doesn't feel like it's squeezing the life out of my arm/wrist.Oh and about the other parts of the splint. I can't bend my wrist at all, which is what I needed. So thumbs up there.There seems to be two places that have a hard, rigid something to keep everything straight. One is sewn in but the other. The one that your palm touches is removable. And metal. So, plus.Good enough. I'd buy it again if neededI can't say how long it will last though.Update: Anybody else's palm hurts like heck after wearing this for a couple of hours?

I have strained the tendons on both hands and been diagnosed with De Quervain's tenosynovitis. It's the swelling of the tendons that run along the thumb side of the wrist and attach to the base of the thumb. This makes doing much of anything painful, especially when twisting and bending at the wrist.I bought one for each hand and they have already nearly eliminated the pain. I try to wear them at least 18 hours a day and they help prevent me from straining my tendons any further. They are well made and adjust easily with the velcro straps. They are a little bulky but they need to be to do the job of helping to alleviate the pain.

I purchased these through Amazon, as it was cheaper than purchasing fewer quality splints, at a higher price through my pharmacy/insurance co-pay. These are comfortable and allow enough room to use in conjunction with my thumb splints.Note. These are right/left hand specific.Purchase with confidence.
