Ergonicmicly / look / quality are all positive
The thermometer fits well in your had, it is not cumbersome. It does not have that sterile hard look to it. As well, most importantly it is easy to use and accurate. As the description says it does not come with batteries. I found it strange some of the reviewers saying "they could not find the batteries" or "the batteries were missing" etc... when it clearly says batteries not included. Just saying to help set your expectations when it arrives have a couple of batteries at the ready and you will be good to go :)

5 stars.
What sparked me to write this review now 3 years after owning it, is because I encountered my first problem with it, which I’ll explain in a moment.First, let me say that this is a lifesaver, it reads your temperature very fast and it’s very accurate. I have tested it with 2 different mouth/armpit thermometers, as well as a $50 infrared Braun. They all read within .2%. The batteries last forever. I have not changed it once yet, in the 3 years I’ve owned it (and as a dialysis patient, I take my temperature several times per week). The display still remains bright and legible. I also like that there’s no annoying, chimes, or sounds or voices speaking. Now the cons.. there’s really only 1.. it’s a nightmare to figure out settings, in the event you do need to change them. Because there is only one button on here, and although it feels like it can go up or down it just presses in straight. I never changed the battery or opened up the back piece, so there should be no reason for the Fahrenheit to change to Celsius!? Right? For a while I was just using it with Celsius and converting it on my Alexa devices. I am from the US, so not educated on Celsius. The other problem is, like most people I throw out the instruction, manual and packaging when I buy an item that I know is going to be a part of my daily routine. I can’t remember, but I’m sure that I read it once when I first got it, and then threw it out, because I never saw it I would have to use it again, but there’s definitely a learning curve. Though once you get it, you wont forget. As I said, there is only one button, and it only presses in one way. You have to hold it past the mode, blinking, even longer than that you have to hold it for approximately 10 seconds, which is crazy because I’ve never had to hold any button for that long to have it change the setting. Usually it’s something like double clicking or triple clicking, or no more than holding a button for five seconds. So if you’re reading this, and your thermometer magically reset to Celsius, or vice versa, don’t be deterred, look around at the reviews. Unfortunately, I have not seen any YouTube videos or even any instruction, manual, updated and uploaded to the Internet for this device. So it was a bit puzzling to , figure this out and frustrating as well. But now that I know how to do it, in the event that it resets again, I will be prepared. It’s very cut and dry, and very accurate.I dictated a lot of this review with my microphone, so if there are any typos, I apologize.

Accurate quick readings
Tested against another device and much better in terms of accuracy. Learning the technique of measurement is a little difficult, but once mastered is quick and easy. The device is very light, nice looking, and quick to use.

Fast, easy and efficient
My husband and daughter are both essential workers and get their temperature taken before they go in to work locations. However they now feel so much more comfortable when leaving for work knowing that they don't hsve a fever and hsved to be sent all the way back home. It's super fast, easy and efficient. Point, touch T hr button, it beeps and it done. It's easy to read even low light. I am very glad I purchased this product, if fact I actually purchased 2 and my husband carries one of them with him as he can be overnight hours from home while working. Most of all it gives us all piece of mind.

More reliable than other brands with the same design.
I'm a nurse in a long term care facility. I use this thermometer to check 20 or more patients every shift, some multiple times each shift. I bought this thermometer after purchasing two other different brands with the same design. The others had suspect readings.I finally tested them by heating water to ranges of normal body temperature. First, I tested the temperature of the water with a thermometer on a bulky vitals signs machine that is calibrated regularly by a trained professional. This thermometer was always within 1/10 or 2/10 of a degree of what the 'industrial' machine read. The others, not even close.

Default is Celsius
This is very clean and a nice simple design. If I had grown up anywhere other than the United States I'd love this thing. Unfortunately, I'm a Fahrenheit kinda guy and don't like having to do extra math every time I want to use this. They really should have an easy switch or button or (heaven forbid) an instructional link on this page to change formats.

Easy to use, comfortable.
This was purchased out of a concern regarding the current covid circumstances. I was looking for a reliable, easy to use item at a reasonable price. This seemed to fit the bill. As with many technical things, having no test items available to set at a particular temperature, I will need to rely on the manufacturer's statement as to the accuracy of the reading. It is easy to use and the fit to the hand is comfortable.

Easy to use, if you don’t read the directions
Forget the instructions. Tap the on button once and this turns the unit on, maybe it calibrates itself too (regardless, it takes several seconds). Point it at your forehead (about an inch away) and tap the on button again. When it beeps (about three seconds later), your temperature will be displayed on the screen. It turns off automatically. Been using it two years now, with no issues.
