Much faster than the IDE drive that was in the system.

Received mine and intended to use it portably. I show it is accurately sized for storage and my transfer rates were excellent. Uortunately I lost an SSD in a laptop right after buying it. I replaced it with this one and set it up to dual boot Windows and Ubuntu. I have only used it for work related tasks, but so far I havent had any issues at all with it as the main drive. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

So far so good after a few days. I bought two of the 256 GB SSDs and they made both my computers much faster. I replaced the spin HDD with this SDD in two 32 bit vintage computers. I used Macrium 32 bit clone software for both jobs.

This product does what it is supposed to do. Provide additional storage very quickly at a reasonable price. I tested with one of the benchmark software. It does not compete with the more expensive SSD drives, but at its current cost, I can live with a 10 -15 % speed difference.

I thought this was going to be a good drive based upon the reviews. I installed it into a Dell Optiplex running Windows 10. The drive lasted 11 months. Turned on the computer and got a disk read error. I pulled the drive and tested it on another computer and a linux laptop. All report major / fatal issues with the drive. All the computer ever did was daily email, web surfing and Quicken. Now I will have to pay a data recovery service to try to recover the data.

I have an old windows laptop which a HDD in it. I wanted to extend its life by converting it to a chromebook. I choose this SSD because of the price and the chromebook doesn't need that much storage space anyway. This SSD is perfect. The project turned out great and my daughter loved her "new" chromebook.
