An amazing edition fit for even the filthiest people.
The level of care is amazing it's an amazing transfer of a cult classic with great bonus content... just warn people going in what the movie is like.

Beautifully analog-like filmic transfer
What a joy this transfer is. I say it's state of the art and better a Bluray transfer won't get.All the grain structure is intact and filmic details are enormous. No filtering occured and the picture looks even great in movement. Color palette is beautiful, naturalistic. I couldn't make out any digital nonsense and the deep dimension picture is awesome too.Eventually this gem can be enjoyed in all its 16mm glory which even will satisfies the most discerning film enthusiasts - perfect for big screen projection!Criterion at its best / the film btw is fully uncut.

One of the funniest movies made.
A cult classic and one of the first. Great transfer from criterion with loads of extras and documentary. Too bad that the barf bag didn’t come with U.K. Edition.

Superb print
Excellent print, sound quality is miles better than the original DVD I have and the extras are great. Really stellar work on these early Waters / Divine movies.

A classic ‘family unfriendly’ film about the wonderful world of competition for fame!!
In all it’s full blu-ray glory and an essential for all devotees of good-bad taste; Divine plays every actors dream role to the maximum with an honest and no holds barred technique which will never be bettered in the world of celluloid (or digital).A full supporting cast of Mr Waters ensemble (with some extras for good measure) brings this wonderful story to life and delivers in true Dreamland style that feel good glow when you know you have watched a great movie made with a purity of bad taste that will never be matched! To sum up, it’s Mr Waters ‘Citizen Kane’, that moment when the stars and celluloid come together and create movie magic…….if you are reading this review you know what you are getting…….so watch, enjoy, laugh, wonder and wince at this classic of underground cinema at its very best (or is it so ‘underground’ it’s actually way above and beyond ‘overground’?).Oh, and the packaging is great with a well thought out copy of the ‘Midnight’ magazine included which you can put on a wall!DVD extras good and commentary’s are brilliant as always and an essential listen!Buy, enjoy and remember……you will never look at walking the dog in the same light again!!

Great restoration
The film looks lovely - filmic, raw, gritty, with a grind-house feel - but also detailed and colourful. The extras are brilliant - John Waters is a riot.Bit miffed the UK didn’t get the barf bag the US release got - but its not worth crying over.
