I've gone through probably a dozen different beard/hair trimmers over the years, and honestly, I've been mostly frustrated. I decided to spend a bit more on this model because the reviews seemed pretty solid and I've at least gotten a couple of years of 'good' performance from other Norelco trimmers. This one by far is the best I've used, and unlike other trimmers, it doesn't seem to bind up in my course beard. I wish the attachments weren't quite as flimsy [on the tabs to the various heads that insert into the trimmer itself], those strike me as inevitably snapping off in the not-too-distant future. Regardless, it's a really nice package with three different heads for different uses: hair, body, face. So far so good- hoping this one continues to last and perform just as great for a few years to come.

This Norelco is the best that I have ever used. A Panasonic was my last go to and it was OK. I have two others that I found to do a poor job. The Norelco is solid, well designed, and does a great job and that job is trimming my beard though it is able to do so much more. It is more expensive than many other choices but I believe It is worth the cost. - Older men, such as myself, find hair growing from strange places. One difficult area is around delicate tissue on the rim of the ears. A Panosonic wet dry electric razor does the best job for me on this tender tissue. Try these or others and be at ease with Amazon's great return policy.

Bizzare. Only trims when trimming against the grain. This is as per the instructions and this is the way it actually works. A very unnatural motion. Returned.

It was exactly what I needed.

Bought this to replace an older smaller model with a battery than no longer held a charge. Got ten years out of the old one. Hoping to get that and then some out of this one. I like the weight of this unit, though it is larger overall. Larger than expected but easily managed. Same range of trim lengths, but twice the increments. The guards on this new until feel better on the skin. Never got scratch by the old ones, but would not have been surprised if I had. But this new unit, edges and corners are smooth and rounded. This one is also good for the shower (I think…don’t recall at the moment). All in all, good product so far, will probably change the rating to five stars after using it for a couple months.

This was a gift for my boyfriend. He loves it, says it works so much better than his old one. I helped him trim some hair on the back of his neck after he cut his hair and it was great. Light strokes got all the hair without a trace left.

The description is not very clear for the adjustable cutting length. If you want a beard trimmer, you can do that. But you only get one trimmer guard for beard trimming. With the beard trimmer adjustment to full length, it trims to 1/4 ". The other trimmer guards are ment for your hair, they are so large you can't use them to trim your mustache, they hit your nose

Every typical beard trimmer with attachments never have the size I like. This one is great because on the low numbers You can set to a size 4... all the typical trimmers come with a 3 and 5 ... I have used that silly sliding adjustable attachment that comes with some trimmers... this is so much better.. Only issue is it is difficult to use to trim the upper lip for mustache... but I am happy working around it because I can finally trim to the length I really prefer
