Works Fine, but check your SD card format!
I needed something to adapt a standard SD card to CompactFlash, so I could keep using my old Canon "EOS Rebel XTi" with today's large-capacity memory cards; this filled the bill perfectly! At first, it didn't work, but I suspected it might not, since I was using a 64GB SDXC card with it, and SDXC cards come formatted as exFAT. Cards of 32GB or less are SDHC, and come formatted as FAT32 by default. So, either I needed to find a 32GB card, or find a way to format my 64GB card as FAT32, since my Rebel XTi will not work with exFAT.Windows will not format media larger than 32GB as FAT32, but I found free formatting software online; just search for "Ridgecrop FAT32format GUI"; once you're on the page, scroll down to the bottom to find the version for 64-bit Windows (the default 32-bit version is supposed to work, but it didn't on my Win11 laptop).Once you have formatted your card to FAT32, it should work fine in an older camera, but the LCD display showed 9999 available photos, since Canon didn't expect it to be used with a 64GB card! I changed the photo quality to "RAW + Large JPEG", and the number came down to around 3,000!The SD card fits pretty tightly in the adapter, so you may need a pair of flat-nosed pliers to pull it out, unless you have strong thumb and index fingernails (ladies with beautiful nails, please don't try this)!

Using it for retro computing, only a minor issue
Works pretty well. In using it in a small FireWire CF card reader to essentially be a FireWire flash drive. Read and write speeds are within the maximum real world limit if FireWire, so the reader won’t be a bottleneck. I’m using it with a SanDisk 128GB High Endurance MicroSDXC card.My only minor issue with this is that the micro SD to full side SD adaptor I’m using isn’t coming out. I’m afraid to force it out, so I don’t know why it’s stuck. Not a big deal to me, as I’m only ever going to use it with a micro SD, but wanted to mention it. Otherwise, I’d give it 5 stars.

Doesn't work on NIKON D4S
I bought this adapter to be able to use several SD cards, which I own, in my Nikon D4S camera and it didn't work. I formatted the cards on my MacBook Air in FAT32 format and also XFAT and the card error did not go away at all. I must say that I have another CF to SD adapter and it works perfectly on my NIKON D4S. The only difference I notice between the two adapters is that the one that does NOT work says "Type I Extreme CF Adapter UDMA" and the one that works says KKomputerBay Professional SDXC. In this adapter it does not read anywhere that says UDMA. In conclusion, if you have a Nikon D4S, do not buy this adapter, look for one that does not say UDMA.Compré este adaptador para poder utilizar varias tarjetas SD, que poseo, en mi cámara Nikon D4S y no funcionó.

Works perfectly!
Works perfectly! Just make sure to format your sd card to FAT32 if you get the message "CF Card not formatted". I had to use rufus on windows 10 to format my 128gb sd card because windows won't let you format anything over 32 gb to FAT32.

Works but ...
I bought this because my last working CF card started having some problems. I had a couple of 32GB SD cards lying about so I thought this would be a good way to kill 2 birds with one stone and use the SD cards in my old D70 Nikon that takes CF memory.I noticed immediately when I inserted the SD card into the adapter that it was a snug fit but it seemed to expand the sides of the adapter just a little bit. I slid the adapter into my camera and it was definitely a very snug fit. The adapter worked fine and allowed me to take pictures using the SD card in the adapter. I was able to take the adapter out, remove the SD card and read it in my laptop.Taking pictures worked fine but I noticed that it took longer to open the picture on the camera than it typically took with a real CF card. I suspect that was just the speed of the SD card because the pictures took some time to open on the laptop as well.My biggest concern is the tight fit in my camera. The adapter actually got stuck in the camera after leaving it in for a few hours so now I take it out when I'm not actively taking pictures. The price is OK and the quality is OK but I wish it fit the camera better and didn't get stuck.

So Far: So Good
As CF memory cards are more and more difficult to find at a reasonable price. This has proven to be a suitable option. We are studio that run about a half dozen cameras at one time, so it's difficult and expensive to keep things updated and most of our cameras are using CF. This option is working well so far, we have not had any problems.

It works, but not what I needed it for
This adapter works good, just not for the application I was attempting to use it for, which was flash modding a Ipod. There is a gamble here when it comes to using these cards, its a hit or miss so keep that in mind. For other applications like using it on a laptop with a CF card adapter for old school applications, this would work great, even for older cameras that use CF cards. As the market for CF cards continues to be over priced for older tech, I can recommend this for OTHER applications other than Flash modding a Ipod.
