Easy to sharpen and the charcoal doesn't break.
These are the best charcoal pencils I have found. I was having a lot of issues with the charcoal breaking in the pencils that I tried. I use them for tracing drawings for image transfers onto linoleum blocks. They are perfect. The charcoal is smooth and the image really sticks to the lino and transfers wonderfully.

Amazing charcoal pencils
It comes with a pack of five that are each different layers of softness. It’s a great tool to use for beginners and people who are Very familiar with using charcoal. I absolutely recommend this product as it’s a good value for your money.

Works fine if you actually know how to sharpen.
Works great for the price if you actually know how to sharpen these types of pencils.You can not use regular sharpeners because the charcoal will break. Instead use a utility blade or Xacto knife.They do write and draw smooth, I wasn’t sure if they did or not until I was given a cheap brand to draw with and the difference was night and day. These pencils feel smooth. However I Only used the soft so far but would definitely buy again if I need some.This brand and generals is on my list of trustworthy art supplies, for now.

Nice and dark
These charcoal pencils leave a nice dark line when used for drawing. The come in a range of hardness from Medium to Extra Soft and there is a significant difference from one hardness to the next. You can get some nice effects drawing with these. And the charcoal doesn't get on your hands.

Good for sewing
I was making a dragon Halloween costume for my granddaughter, and needed a way to mark the pleather and felt. This chalk worked very well, was easy to use, and rubbed off without leaving a mark. Highly recommend!

Great for learning to draw
My 15 YO recently took to drawing (past couple of years) and asked for some sketching pencils. These are great and he loves them. Different pencil for different styles. He uses them in art class as well
