okay first off, this is a 180W brick which supplies power fast because my old brick was 120W. that 60W difference made it charge faster. this product includes 2 charging adapters. if the product doesnt fit, the included adapters so it will fit. one of them fits my gaming laptop and it works! the only caveat is that its a bit loose and i see it coming off most of the time i try to move my laptop or if i accidentally tug on the wire. Inconvenience or safety feature? this brick has a charging light which is nice to see whether it's supposed to work or not. the cable is like 1.5x thicker than my old one which means that it should deliver more power and more strength. i use it on an msi gf63 thin, will probably work with all versions of the gf63 family.

Its a good charger but once the adapter starts to frey, how are you to get a replacement piece? You have to buy a whole new charger. Sell the adapter piece seperately for this issue and i would give it a higher rating

Does the job. I like that it lights green when connected to power, although it should probably have a feature to turn that off (or just use some electrical tape). I've had this for over a year and its worked like a charm.

Well made and extra plug adapters means this will work with a variety of devices Strong, well made with thick cables, it will last a long time If you are new to electricity and or replacing a high power notebook charger here are some important and simple safety tips. These will make your equipment last longer and prevent it from getting fried. Always make sure the plug is secure and the polarity is correct, where center positive or negative matches. Some notebooks have the ability to either use dual polarity, or a protection feature. Ones that do not can get fried instantly meaning expensive repairs or worse. If polarity is unknown, do not risk it, a voltage tester is ~20 bucks on Amazon and very worth it. All quality power supplies should list this on the data sticker found on the power brick itself. This also has important information about power specs. There is a simple rule of thumb to follow for matching power supplies like this. There are three ratings voltage, amperage and watts. Voltage must never be much higher (1-2% tops to be safe) than the device has listed or it will fry. Lower voltage may not be good either as it can stress components. For amperage and watts these can be higher than what the device needs as long as the voltage is correct. Watts and amperes should not be lower than the device needs because it can stress the device and the power supply. This is a very basic explanation for typical regular use. Also keeping your power brick as cool as possible will extend its life. This is why gaming chargers often fail; too much heat works it too hard. If it is uncomfortable/too hot to touch that is where significant lifespan shortening will typically start. The hotter it is the faster it will fail. If you would like to learn how to fry electronics take up overclocking as a hobby. Protip: A second power supply is a good spare, and can be kept around the house where you like to use your notebook, to save form having to carry the brick around. This also preserves battery longevity on these large notebooks by using charger power as much as possible. Hopefully these pointers help save people some money:)

I just got a new laptop maybe a month ago and my cat decided to chew through the charging cord so getting this has really helped me because I’ve been using my laptop for schooling and it’s kind of hard when you can’t charge it it’s one of those store specials where it’s only sold at the store, and I don’t wanna have to go through warranty in order to get a new one not that they would warrantee a cat chewed power cord calling all this works Great very impressed with it. Fit my laptop. No problem.
