Great when sized down
Firstly, I'm 6'5' and around 200 lbs, 42 in chest, and wear a 16.5/ 36-37 dress shirt. I picked up a large at first, but it was massive around the chest and waist which is OK if you plan on wearing 2 or 3 layers underneath, but I expected something different from a coat marketed as 'slim-fit'. I should also note that the first one I purchased was the sage green color and it looked pretty awful in person. I returned the large (which wasn't purchased from amazon, but directly from AI) and ordered a medium in maroon from Amazon, which turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. It fits snug on the waist and chest resulting in a nice silhouette, reaches halfway down my backside, and I was very happy to see that the sleeves were long enough even in medium. It keeps me very warm in frigid temperatures (I've only been down to 15 degrees farenheit, but was fine with just a t-shirt under) and is very water repellent, if not waterproof. I really enjoy the maroon color which is a deep red in person; obviously, based on the composition of the coat, the material has a sheen to it. This looked pretty bad with the green color that I had before (like a trash bag), but not with the maroon colorway. Something interesting to note is that this coat doesn't have traditional seams at the shoulder, rather the seams run through the chest and upper back. There is an elastic cuff on the interior of the sleeve at the wrist to keep the wind out, as well as the front placket to keep wind out from the zipper.TL;DR it is a very warm, comfortable, and stylish coat. If you're looking for a more fashionable fit, go for a size down. If not, just go true to size. Maroon looks great, sage doesn't.

My wearable sleeping bag.
i love this coat. This thing is like wearing a sleeping bag. It is so warm and comfy. The first one I ordered was an XL, Well the slim fit actually runs about two sizes smaller. The XL fit but was very snug. Amazon was great about exchanging it for an XXXL witch fits looser the way my older XL parka does. Even this size is still slimmer than my older ore, but much looser and better fitting. Love the fur around and the fleece lining in the hood. Even the pockets seem to be fleece lined. this is a great parka, but the question is, will it last 20 years like my older one. Only time will tell. All in all this is a great parka for the price and I would recommend and would buy again.

Great parka for the price
I'm 5'8 140lb and it's a little loose around the torso and is a bit longer than in the picture (down to about mid-thigh though I may just have a short torso). It fits well in the shoulders and arms though and the extra space allows me to add more layers underneath for when it's too cold so it's not a big deal. You could probably size down to get a closer fit but I don't think anyone will care if your heavy winter jacket is baggy. Most importantly, it's extremely warm - just a tshirt plus parka is fine below freezing but probably not enough below ~10 F, depending on your cold tolerance.I bought this for $150 with a 20% off Amazon promo but I also saw it hit $110 on a lightning deal recently for certain sizes/colors. Even at full price or close to it though, it would still be a good buy.

warmish, but not stellar
Bought this as the New York City winter started getting chilly and snowy. The poly fill isn't terribly warm. If you are layering, it's fine down to probably the single digits (F), but it hasn't gotten that cold yet. With just a T-shirt underneath, it's decently warm to the mid 30s, but my arms started getting cold. The faux-fur hood, however, is nice and toasty! The faux lining on the hood is a little funky when it's snowing since it collects moisture and then freezes, which is a little different than real fur. I haven't been in a downpour, but with snow and light rain it's been sufficiently water resistant that it didn't get soggy like wool. The hand warmer pockets on the chest aren't very warm since they're outside of the insulation, but they're better than nothing.I'm of sleight build and 5"5', 36" chest, relatively broad shoulders. The XS fits me great, with or without layers. I typically wear a European S or US XS. There is an internal drawstring around the waist to cinch the middle section of the jacket closer to your body--and give it a slightly more fitted, and less of a sleeping bag appearance. One other note about fit—there is quite a bit of material in the armpit area, so the jacket's cut can hamper movement a bit.

some might be annoyed by that
Very warm, the hood is not removable, the fur around the neck is. Plenty of pockets, in the left arm just below the shoulder, on the exterior fabric there are these weird bullet shaped/sized things embedded in the fabric, some might be annoyed by that. Regarding the color of the Nightvision Camo pattern, the image displayed here, and on a few other sites might lead someone to think that this pattern/hue is a two tone brown. The pattern is actually two tones of a darker green. Got my 2X at an excellent price. I'm 6'1" and a little larger build, fits comfortably!. Only thing that could make this better would be a removable hood. Good buy! Would buy again.

As always, flawless
I expect nothing but perfection from Alpha when it comes to parkas. I'm not disappointed. I'll note that this "slim version" of the N3B parka is a bit more snug than I'm used to. If you really want the jacket to do its best in the coldest of weather, you should probably stick with the "natural" N3B. Either that, or order a size larger than you're used to.This jacket fits my arms and snugly a bit more snug than I'm used to. It looks better as a result but I'm noticing it just doesn't perform as well in the coldest of weather. It makes sense because if the parka fits you tightly in any spot you're compressing the insulation and reducing its effectiveness.I don't blame them for the fit. I'm the reason I went for "form over function" this time. It's more than serviceable for the vast majority of continental US winters.

Great jacket... Terrible "fur" lining on the hood.
This is a great jacket that will keep you very warm. There are a few things I don't like about the jacket but I'm still happy I bought it. One thing I dislike is the fur lining on the hood...It's such low quality. I tried everything I could do to make it look fluffy or just better in general but in the end it looked so terrible that I just took it off. The other thing about this jacket that you should know is that although it is labelled as grey... The jacket is more of a green. Still, it's definitely my go to jacket everytime the temperature dips below zero.

Very nice windproof.
I live in Canada. This parka is very work well. I took under shirt and sweat inside parka. I could walk 10min in -25 windy day ( feels like -37) and extreme cold day -42 ( feels like -48). It`s Not warm clothes. Shut out cold and wind tightly.
