The Girls Who Stepped Out of Line: Untold Stories of the Women Who Changed the Course of World War II

STEP OUT OF LINE TO STEP FORWARD
When duty called, women stepped forward to serve their country, protect their culture, and to help assure that future opportunities would be available to the younger generations who followed them. Each chapter, written as an individual biographical sketch of the women who served, weaves together their experiences, legacies, and gifts to America, creating a tapestry of WWII from a different perspective. The author captured the strength, courage, and resiliance of these women who helped win the war and who received little or no recognition for their service.Thank you Mari K. Eder for bringing their gifts to future generations to light and for sharing the little known histories of THE GREATEST GENERATION!Well done!

EVERY PERSON should read this book
because it is about people ( not just a gender or a race or color), about people who persisted to do, to achieve where their minds and hearts were calling them to work and SERVE. And to do so with passion and commitment

Confronting Male Chauvinism
Mari K Eder’s eminently readable profiles about fifteen of the WWII heroines who made our final victory happen give support and encouragement to all of us who have fought for equitable gender opportunity. While in many cases acknowledgements of these women’s contributions was finally accorded, there is the continued understanding throughout Eder’s account that actions that originate in a deeply-rooted conviction of what is right and true does not depend on recognition. In contributing this vital and clear record, Eder has done a service to all of us. What a great gift to our daughters and sons! Order a copy!

Amazing Women of Greatest Generation
The stories of women who were code breakers, spies, resistance fighters and true trail blazers in fields considered male only venues were inspiring. Women of the greatest generation who were to be admired for their courage, perseverance and can do attitude. The book and its stories were a five star until the end. The author ends the book by mentioning the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, AOC and Greta Thunberg. None of these individuals accomplished or endured what the women of the greatest generation experienced. Mentioning them in the pages of this book alongside these other women is an insult.
