Himalayan Glow1401 Salt lamp, Standard, Aroma Therapy

I too was worried about my buy after reading the negative reviews.Well, I've had my lamp running daily in my office for several hours at a time and what a glow! Everybody loves it for its beautiful, peaceful light and pleasing scent (I've got the essential oil version.) My wife loves it so much that we're buying a couple more to put in the living-room and bedroom.About the electrical, I have not had any problem with it for the +5weeks I've been using it (daily.) Taking the screw bulb out, should you need to replace it, is a simple 5-second job (the time it takes to turn the lamp upside down and pull the socket out.) The electrical cord and socket are pretty much standard and don't look cheap at all. The original bulb is still going strong and hasn't shown any sign of weakness (flickering, etc...)The essential oil cup, located in a cutout on top of the lamp, works well. The scent is diffused adequately (following ~10/15min warm up) and it does not "burn" the oil. Of course, for the price, the lavender oil it comes with is junk! (the oil I use is as expensive as the lamp itself!)Conclusion, I love it! and given most of my friends's feedback, I'm buying a couple more as xmas gifts...

This lamp is not at all orange- despite what the picture shows, it shines bright white. It's not the shape pictured in the listing, as you can see. Also, there is no dimmer switch, or any switch at all, for that matter. All that came in the box was the lamp, a glass dish to set in the top, a leaky bottle of lavender oil, and a USB converter, so you can either plug it into a USB socket or a two pronged outlet. The wood base is nice, but has an over-sized piece of vinyl glued to it, so it doesn't "hide" under the wood. I turned it on for about three hours, and it didn’t get hot enough to make the oil drops I put in the cup disperse. Very disappointed. If you want a salt lamp, try one of the more expensive ones.

This is a nice salt lamp. I really like that the light is adjustable from dim to bright. It came with the lavendar oil which had spilled/leaked like I have seen happen in other reviews and it smelled WAY STRONG. I had to throw the bottle out and I usually love lavendar... I love essential oils. But this one.... was not...... pleasant. There was a whole lot of salt granules that came out of the packaging. Between that and the oil it was kind of an oily mess at first.But I took a clean towel and wiped it off. Threw away the packaging and the lavendar. The next day the lamp did not smell and it was not making a mess on anything. I brought it in to work today and plugged it in. I love the ambience it gives my cubical. It is very relaxing and very soothing. I gave the five stars for the lamp itself and did not knock any off even though I was somewhat displeased at first with the mess. I have my own essential oils to put in the little cup that sits on the top of the lamp and I'm sure it will work just wonderful.

Mostly I bought this lamp because of the oil warming feature. It works! Of coarse I have my own oils and ended up throwing out the lavender oil that came with it. Like many other reviewers, mine was squished and leaking. They should just sell it without the oil. Anyway, I like the size and it has a pretty glow at night. Mine did not have a dimmer feature as stated in the add. Overall I’m happy with it, which is good because I never return anything.

I've only had this for a week, but so far, so good. I always read the negative reviews first and some people were totally dissatisfied with their lamp, but mine is beautiful.It came very well packaged with no damage at all. The dimmer cord was wrapped separately from the lamp, and the lamp is a beautiful orangish-pinkish color. I have found that the essential oil cup works well when the lamp is turned up higher and I use a stronger sent, such as peppermint, spearmint, mixed with a softer oil like lavender and chamomile. I only put a total of about 15 drops into the cup and that last for a couple of hours. I diffuse in my bedroom about 30 minutes before bed and it relaxes me as I go to sleep.The only thing negative (so far) is that the so-called "lavender" oil that comes with it smells dreadful and it leaked a little. Fortunately it was in a sealed plastic bag so it didn't mess up anything. I read reviews of others who said the oil was awful and always leaked, so I was prepared. Those people were absolutely right.So far, I'm very pleased. I'll come back and update if anything changes. Loved the size and purpose of this item. We all need aromatherapy. Liked it so much, also bought it for a gift for a friend. (Hope it still works)However, product specs description needs to be updated.This unit is not dimmable and you cannot change the light bulb. So it does not work at all now...I guess that's why the warranty is 30 days. Disappointing..

The first one that came wouldn’t light up, so I sent it back and the company replaced it. Lamp #2 lights up. I thought the light would be powerful enough to warm the essential oils in the little glass cup, but it’s not, so the oil just sits there. It would probably work better to get a regular style salt lamp and an oil diffuser. Even though it doesn’t work as expected, I’m still giving it 3 Stars because the glowing salt is pretty and the company made doing the exchange easy.

La lampe de sel ne fonctionne pas du tout et l huile essentielle fournie a tout coulée dans l emballage et avec AMAZON, c est impossible de changer mon colis sans avoir de frais à fournir... Je suis très déçue et je n encourage personne à acheter ce produit , je perd mon colis et je perd aussi mon argent ... Grrr ...

Description says there is Dimmable switch but you cannot dim the brightness.

this is a great lamp I have been looking for ,a Himalaya salt lamp with essential oil burner. which is great, as the candle burner burns quickly and not convenient. Although the smell is not that strong, but great for a bed room. The dim function is also very practical ! Although the essential oil that comes with it was leaking, I didn't expect the oil and didn't use that anyways....

The media could not be loaded.  When it arrived the boxes were damaged. There is no switch to turn it on and of or as it claims dim. But there is no dimmer switch, on top of all that this so called bulb doesn't even heat up enough to burn the essential oils. So you can barely smell anything. Plus i wouldn't know if we can replace these bulbs. It doesn't look like they are. The bases aren't flat at all they wobbl all over the place,

love the lamp except for the oil got leaked but not a problem at all
