What didn't I buy this sooner??? PLEASED!
The battery could no longer hold a charge in my old faithful 2006 Acer Aspire V 15 Touch (V3-572P-51BA) laptop. Even though I have a newer laptop, I still use the oldie--as long as it was plugged in while in use.I figured I'd give this new battery a chance. Since I have a Best Buy Total Tech Geek Squad membership, I stopped by to have a Techie replace the battery at no service charge. Although it looked like I could replace it myself, I figure Geek Squad Tech could do it much faster, show me how to do it, plus troubleshoot if there were any potential hardware or incompatibility issues.It took less than 5 minutes to install. At first the battery didn't lock in place. The techie reinserted it a couple more times--with a little more push action. It locked in place.The battery is a little bigger now because it has a long 'half-barrel' along the back of the battery--which causes the laptop to be raised a little bit at the back. That's not an issue. It means the laptop has a slight lean towards me, instead of the laptop resting totally flat. I consider it an added feature.I've also charged, let battery run until it died, then recharged again--a couple of times so far. I'll do it several times again to make sure it continues to charge. (You will see an updated review if I later experience issues.)it's increased the utility of my old laptop. I would definitely recommend replacement using this or a similar brand.Worst case scenario? Return it within the 30day window if it doesn't work out.Best outcome? Your old laptop will have new life.

My laptop works again
Finally able to use my laptop without it having to be plugged it all the time. So far I have used it for six hours without the charger attached. Excellent value for the money.

Really wanted to like it but very disappointed
I really wanted to like this battery because of the increased battery life.The battery was enormous but it fit inside my laptop and I was willing to live with it. The battery charged properly the very first time I used it. I stowed away the laptop for about a month and when I tried to power the laptop up the battery was dead. I plugged the charger into the laptop but the charging light blinked on and off and did not charge my battery.I removed the battery, unplugged my charger from the wall and plugged it back in and reinstalled the battery but the battery would not charge.I updated my laptop’s BIOS in hopes this would fix the problem but that did not work either. My laptop battery no longer has any support and my next step is to dispose of it. What a waste of $33 for something that looked so promising.

It gets the job done
The battery is just bulkier, but it still fits. Only issue is the tabs tge battery has. They are slightly out of spec. So it will slide into the laptop, but it won't fully lock in. I had to force the lock a little. Br sure it locks in or the battery might slide out.
