Excellent Camera
I absolutely love these cameras! Very easy to set up and have a wide view angle to capture more of an area. I also love how it has a crying baby feature letting me know if my child is crying while I’m in another room. It shows a live view and also any videos it has recorded. Best camera for the price. I use it for security in my home as well as to check in on kids and pets.

The TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Camera: A Surprisingly Excellent Choice
As someone who has delved into the world of home security cameras, purchasing and testing models from Meross, Ubiquiti, Nest, Ring, and others, I've encountered my fair share of unique challenges with each brand. I've even invested over $200 on some Ubiquiti cameras, all in the pursuit of finding the perfect balance of functionality, ease of use, and affordability. However, it wasn't until I came across the TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Camera that I felt I had found a device that stood out in the crowded market, especially for a very specific need: ensuring the safety and monitoring of my in-laws who have recently moved into an assisted living community. The aspect of this camera that immediately caught my attention was its affordability combined with its robust feature set, something I had begun to think was impossible to find. Unlike other systems that nickel and dime you for every additional feature, the TP-Link Tapo offers a comprehensive package without the need for a subscription service. This was particularly appealing as it enabled me to keep an eye on my in-laws' well-being without incurring ongoing costs. Installation and setup were astonishingly straightforward. I opted for a 256GB SD card, which was more than adequate for our needs and was incredibly easy to install and configure. This ease of setup is not something I can say for all the cameras I've tested in the past, where sometimes the setup process seemed almost deliberately complicated. The video quality is another point where the Tapo 2K Indoor Camera shines. It delivers crisp, clear images that make it easy to see what's happening, even from a distance. But perhaps the feature that sets it apart the most is the ability to playback footage remotely. This has given me peace of mind, knowing that I can easily check in on my in-laws at any time, from anywhere. Price-wise, the Tapo 2K is unbeatable. Considering the high costs of some competitors' cameras that still require additional outlays for full functionality, the value proposition of the Tapo 2K is clear. It's an affordable, effective solution for anyone looking to secure their home or, in my case, keep a watchful eye on loved ones in a care setting. In conclusion, the TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Camera has proven to be a little gem in a market saturated with overpriced and overcomplicated alternatives. Its combination of ease of use, excellent video quality, remote playback capability, and affordability make it a standout option. It's a purchase I've been thoroughly pleased with and would recommend to anyone in a similar situation or anyone looking for a reliable home security camera without unnecessary frills or expenses.

Great overall product, just a few complaints
Great product overall — FIVE THINGS I LIKE 1) good picture quality (day and night visibility, picture inversion capability for upside-down installation); 2) loud alarm; 3) good audio; 4) cool detection features (motion detection and person detection); 5) WiFi signal strength seems fine. You have to sort of experiment with the app technology for a bit to find the surveillance settings you prefer, but no big deal if you are patient. THREE COMPLAINTS: 1) The mic seems low when camera is installed outside, even on full volume. So if the camera’s not pretty close to visitors that you try to talk to through the device, they may not be able to hear you when you use it. 2) Finding the best spot for installation was a bit of a task, but to be expected. Just be ready to use a power drill or hammer and nails. 3) If I had to choose a complaint, it would be cord management. I had to purchase a 25-ft USB-A to USB-c cord for each camera (despite the incorrect product details that describe a DC power input 😒) and those cords didn’t have the same weather proofing as the 6-ft cords that come with the camera. But I just duct-taped the USB-c side of the cord to the camera thoroughly so that water won’t seep into the power input. It may also be productive to just use the 6-ft cords that come with the device and purchase a USB-A or USB-c extension cable… Five stars nonetheless! I will buy more of these cameras when I feel the need for more indoor or outdoor.

Amazing, well worth the money.
*** update below*** I have had the cameras and app set up for about 2 days now. I do love how clear my c113s are and yea you don't have to have a subscription to tapo UNLESS you want to be sent screenshot of when camera is triggered. that is the only feature you can not use without the membership/subscription. so that is disappointing but everything else so far is amazing and I have 3 different brands of cameras so 3 different apps however I'm probably going to stick with tapo. The picture quality is amazingly clear even with the setting in black and white you can still see everything. The zoom you can zoom in so close to reading the tiny print across the room. The sound quality is as though you are in the room at the same time. Motion detectection is definitely amazing you can't walk into the room I have it in without it catching you. The ability to change each notification sound would be cool. As for durability well that is still TBD because I only have one up right now. If anything changes I will edit this. Over all well worth the money definitely will be purchasing more in time. **Ok so I have put upa few more now and I have to say that these are good cameras they do not have spotlights so night viewing is well can be difficult if you live outside the city lights as we do. I have one that is facing one of the other doors inside the house yet mid day the sun comes through the window (door is facing south) the camera only sees a big blob of light where as my other two cameras which are also tapo adjust to brightness these do not. They work great as indoor cameras. I will say they do hold up to storms so far I was a bit worried but nope held strong. I will continue to purchase tapo just do a little more reading.

So far so good
This is my second purchase of Tapo Cameras and I am happy. I have 5 c120's and would recommend them over these for features added to them, but these are fine for indoor situations. All are 2K and photo wise they are great! They do NOT have a light in them, but the night vision is still as good as the c120. Overall a great camera for the money!

Purchased single units previously all had Australian plugs, the price was quoted in AUD for this 4 pack so i made the assumption that Aussie plugs were fitted, Cameras are great but the plug issue is a bit of an inconvenience
