This product was selected over other slightly cheaper options because it has a feature essential for woodturning - the ability to lock the slider in a fixed position. This facility appeared to be absent from many other competing models. It is possible to set the calliper to a target diameter, lock the position, and even power it off whilst using this setting to turn to that diameter. The unit is thin enough to get into most profiles. The unit seems well made and accurately machined steel. From a zero setting, I extended the callipers to full width and then fully closed them. This showed a repeatability of around 0.02 mm which is more than sufficient for purpose. The unit came with a plastic case and 2 spare batteries, so all in all a good value buy.

Very good tool works very well

For general measuring with a bit of precision then you can't go wrong. Nice screen good size of battery and repeatable measuring. Obviously not mittutoyo accurate, but for most things and at this price, then these arnt to bad. I would recommend for general use with some precision and repeatability.

As previous reviewers have mentioned the setting wheel feels loose, but works fine. The reported problem with movement waking it up doesn't happen, maybe that was just the previous version. Accuracy checked against feeler gauges, zeros well, the depth facility is very useful for me as is the fractions function. I'm not an engineer, just a guitar tech, and this does everything I need at an amazing price. And two free spare batteries!

I’ve only used this for a few projects but I’ve had none of the issues mentioned in some of the other reviews. it’s accurate and easy to us. It’s a good clear display to read and is easily adjustable. Worth reading the instructions if you’ve not had one before because it shows you where the measurements are copied across the callipers, eg. The end will be the same depth as the calliper opening. Might be obvious to some but I wasn’t aware until I read the instructions. If you’re thinking of getting some callipers then I would recommend these ones.

Invaluable for precise measuring that's difficult with a ruler or tape measure, such as inside/outside circumference of an object, or the depth of a groove. Don't know how I managed without it! Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for in this instance, and I consider it really good value.

It looks solidly built and the markings are clear. Hope the battery lasts.

A lot of digital calipers only give metric and decimal imperial measurements, but this one also gives fractions. Measured against other measuring tools I have they are as accurate as needed for model engineering purposes, and a joy to use. Only negative is that the slightest movement of the sliding part turns them on so you'll need to be careful when you put them away to prevent a flat battery.

Molto interessante la scala in frazioni di pollice, forse inutilmente piccoli i caratteri per i decimali, ma sembra funzionare bene. Un dettaglio: questi calibri sono tutti precisi per natura, anche i più economici di plastica, perchè si basano comunque su una scala fisica che è uguale per tutti. Infatti è meglio scegliere quelli in metallo come questo. Sono soddisfatto.

Quite impressed with the value and quality of the product, especially for the fair price! The calipers are sturdy, the adjustment wheel is smooth and firm, the measurements are accurate, and the hold screw keeps your measurement type! It was certainly a change from my previous plastic cheapo, plastic calipers, but I wish that I would've done it sometime ago! These were an incredible step up, and only a small jump in price! The functionality is excellent, keeping your measurements, precise, and easy to use! The product comes cleanly wrapped in a nice box with a sturdy, hard plastic travel, and storage case! They look and feel expensive, while functioning like an expensive set also!

The product arrived already in heavily used condition with excess oil and many scratches on it. It does work and it does give accurate measurement, but the build quality is not that good. Either go for cheaper one that is as bad as this and does the job just as well or go for a more expensive one that is reliable and good quality.

Holy smokes. This thing is amazing value. Don't change the price, don't change the product. The engineers nailed it, and the price is fair for both parties. This has substantial heft in the hand, is made of what appears to be good quality stainless steel, appears to be very accurate and sturdy without slop. It also came with a hard plastic case with adjustment screwdriver and two replacement batteries. I am pleasantly surprised with this purchase.
