Perfect fit, great value for money replacement!
Bought this to replace the COV hose on my Dyson DC40 which had broken and totally split, absolutely perfect fit and great value for money as a replacement part overall! Material seems much more durable than the Dyson original part, it fits perfectly and has restored it back to life. 100% recommend!

Fiddly to fit but does the job perfectly
Fiddly to fit but does the job perfectly. There are videos from richardsvacuumcenter on Youtube that show how to fit it, I'd still recommend taking photos as you take it apart as the screws are all different lengths and sizes.

Works perfectly
I ordered this item as the changeover valve had split from hoovering up to many small pencils which ended up piecing the hose. I found this product which arrived the next day. Thankfully there is a Youtube video with a tutorial on changing it. It doesn't take too long but it's worth taking your time as there are a few screws to take out which do have different sizes and it's relatively strightforwardI am pleased to say the suction is back and it's working well so far(it's been about 4 weeks since buying this)

Just what our Dyson needed
We assumed our Dyson had a blockage somewhere as the suction went. It was barely powerful enough to Hoover up a feather!Upon inspecting I noticed the valve hose had started to simply crumble. No surprise as it’s constantly flexing when in use.I found a simple detailed video on YouTube and followed the steps. Please note: you need to invest in a screwdriver set that has the heads required for dyson’s screws. The lower valve hose whilst not too difficult to replace, isn’t for someone who has never used tools nor taken anything apart before. I recommend placing parts and screws securely together and noting which parts they’re from. It makes it a doddle to fit everything back in its rightful place when putting the Hoover back together.I would also suggest cleaning it while you have things apart. From here on out, I’ll be regularly inspecting the hoses and replacing as soon as they show signs of wear.

It makes the Dyson work brilliantly again.
The product is cheap and does the job the only problem I had was the rubber seals on either end came loose when fitting, but once I got to grips with the seals it worked perfectly. well worth the effort once fitted the vac works perfectly again.

Same quality as original part
Part is the same as the original, as it should be. A little fiddly to fit, but there are some excellent videos on YouTube. I followed the video step wise and paused as each phase was completed. Took about an hour.

Waste of time and money
The rubber piece on the end of the change over hose fits loosely and is very weak, once installed it only takes half a movement for the rubber to be chewed up and pulled of making the hose useless once it has come off. Comparing it to the original Dyson one which fits tightly and is glued into position for durability means this replacement does not have a chance. Absolute waste of my money, couldn’t even install it without it falling apart.

Hose great rubber seal too flimsy.
The sealing end rubber was not as firm as the old one ( too flexible ) and kept falling off so I used the old seal on the new hose and it works well.
