How is it for catching a full bladder of urine? My cat gets in the litter box and leaves his butt sticking outside of it and pees straight on the floo

I have the same fat cat. She hangs her butt over the edge. The rug works but I wish I could find something better. I also have a sweater box for the litter.

How thick is the mat?

Not very thick. My cat has peed all over the edge against the litter box. I am not sure if it leaks to the floor.

Has anyone tried this Matt with cedar litter? Looking to find out if this type of litter is still contained and dumped out since it is lighter weight.
