Great Retrofit for youth MTB
Nice Retrofit install for a youth MTB. Once riding with a dropper post it sure is lousy to go back to rigid. Wanted to spoil my 11yo son and the 125mm range is really nice. I was going to drill a hole in the frame for an internal routing post but this works great although I will be looking for something better than zip ties to secure the cable to the frame.

Works great with a bit of a learning curve.
this took a little getting used to, but think I have the hang of it now. I bought this due to tendinopathy on my left foot, which is how I get on the bike as a left-hander. I also had a rack and bag which made it difficult to swing my leg over, my natural tendency was to hold the lever down when mounting, but practice, practice, practice!

Ready to go dropper post, includes lever, cable, a shim for seat post size, 27.2 post, works nice.
This is a "FastAce" branded dropper post, I ordered the 28.6 size (upper mount), which is a 27.2 size dropper post but also includes a '27.2 to 28.6' shim adapter to upsize it to the correct dimensions of my bikes seat tube, which worked perfectly, I would prefer to not use a shim, but I don't believe there are any true native 28.6 dropper posts since it's a very uncommon size, so not a big deal, this post is also 125 mm travel which is really great most competitors are only 90 to 110 travel for this post size.I like that this includes a remote, cable and is ready to go, however for my medium bike I found the cable to be at least 3 inches too short to mount it on the left handlebar (with enough slack to turn the bars fully), so I ended up needing to get a longer cable but install was straightforward and easy, when unscrewing the grub screw for the steel cable make sure not to lose the small ball bearing inside, the remote lever is made of plastic, and the mount is metal with a hinge so it can be removed/repositioned easily. For functionality, I think it works great, the leaver has nice resistance and spring-loaded feel, not loose or weak to press, the seat post rises up quickly, and only has a little side to side seat slop, I saw a video that someone showed it going up slowly, the one I received is pretty quick in room temp, in colder 30F temperature it does slow it down a little but so far functions fine in cold weather (I bought this for a fat bike so it will normally be used in the cold), lowering the seat post sometimes feels fine and smooth, other times it can feel a bit gritty, not sure why this happens but doesn't seem to be an issue yet, the post seems to have plenty of grease installed from the factory as I can see the thin layer buildup on the post after using it for a few rides.FastAce seems to be a real company, however I couldn't find any info for warranty or service guides, most dropper posts need some type of lower service after a while, and most are pretty similar in design, I may try contacting FastAce and see if they can provide a service manual.Overall I highly recommend, long term durability still in progress, warranty unknown, fast post rising, includes lever & cables, easy to install, works well.

When seat is low there is more cable length so route the cable and zip tie with the seat extended
The media could not be loaded. I have used it once but every thing went great.30.9 mm product with the cable at the top.I installed it on epic specialized bike 2016.Perfect cable length to allow the bike handles to turn. I routed the cable on the outside (shortest path possible) with zip ties. The maximum low and high positions are perfect for me Iām 6ft 2in. When the seat is collapsed there is more cable length so install this product with the seat fully extended. Then zip tie the cable. We will see how it does long term but it seems really well built

Outstanding Dropper Post
Added this to a 2018 Specialized Rockhopper, size L. Installation was extremely easy. Cable was exactly the right length. Performance is extremely smooth. The post adjusts up and down almost effortlessly. Can easily be moved down in very small increments with just a quick press of the lever, or drop it all the way smoothly by pressing and holding. Very happy with this product and highly recommend it.
