I love to SUP, but have gotten blisters/calluses on the inside of my hands from pulling the lower part of the paddle shaft. I was looking for a pad to put on the paddle shaft, but did not want to use one of the pads with velcro for fear that it would slip and slide on the shaft. Although this is meant for a kayak paddle, I bought a set, and it works perfectly on my adjustable NSP paddle. I removed the upper T-handle from the paddle shaft and removed the adjustment clamp. I soaked the shaft and the inside of the pad with water and then carefully slid it over the shaft. Once I had it where I thought I wanted it, I set it aside to dry. The next time I went SUP'ing it worked perfectly. It felt great on my hands, and it did not slip or slide at all. I did discover that it was too low on the shaft and needed to be moved up about 4". So, I ran water over the pad and shaft making sure the water got underneath the pad. With the water running, I was able to slide the pad up to where I wanted it. By the time I went paddling again, the paddle shaft and pad were dry and the pad worked perfectly again -- no slipping or sliding. I am so glad I gave this a shot. It does exactly what I was hoping. The beauty of buying this for an SUP paddle is that you get two pads. So you can either outfit 2 SUP paddles or you have a spare pad!

These are comfortable to use but very difficult to put on.

These were handy in decreasing discomfort/rubbing when paddling. I gave 4 stars, bc they were difficult to get on the paddles, and hard to remove; I accidentally ripped the top part of one from tugging on it 😅Wetting them helps.

Love these kayak paddle hand grips. They are very difficult to get on. You have to soak them in water and also wet the metal paddle bar. If you can slide them on without ripping them, they are there to stay. They're very cushiony. My hands didn't hurt and I didn't get any blisters. I read a lot of reviews that said the grips tore during the application onto their paddle, so I decided to be smarter than the product by sticking my fingers in coconut oil, lightly greasing the inside grip, then, with zero effort, I gently twisted them onto the location of the paddle I desired and voila, just like that the grips were in place in less than 5 minutes, and better yet - had no tearing of the grips.Try it! You can't fail with some common sense and patience. I love them!

My husband bought me a kayak for my birthday.Of course, anything is easier with the proper accessories. These give you a good grip on your paddle, and will help you avoid blisters.

THis was exactly what i was looking for for the kayak paddles.

Nice cushion on the hands while paddling. Easy to slide on and adjust position as needed. Use a drip catcher with these. Good buy!
