Guinness World Records 2012 Gamer's Edition (Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition)

This book has all the scores needed for research and to try to advance your own score. We love Twin Galaxies and find their help on this book so wonderfully refreshing.

This was a hit with my 11 year oold son. He has spent hours combing through the pages. Great for any little gamer.

In a nutshell, the 2012 Gamer's Edition is very similar to the 2011 version. There are trivia quotes at the bottom of each page and the entire book is laid out by game genre. Just like last year, my only complaint, although minor, is I wish they had more off-the-wall records and records for lesser-known games. But for around $10, this book is an easy buy and engaging for any interested gamer.

Great book!! Contents are very well made. Wide variety of games and records. Full color pages contain wonderful photos. My son is featured also. :)

MY 11 YEAR OLD son loves this book! He has not been this excited about a book since Diary of a Wimpy Kid

This book was not at all what I was expecting. If you stay up to date on video game news there is little new content for you in this book. It also cites VGChartz sales numbers, which are rough estimates which and are generally not recognized in the industry. NPD and GfK are the recognized sources for sales numbers. The data in the book also appears to only be through roughly Aug/Sep of last year. There are tables in the book that say accurate as of May 2011 and Aug 2011. I was expected it to be more up to date because it was published this year.

Overall this is a good book. It is probably a one time read but interesting for gamers.I would probably not buy it again just go to the library!
