Not without its quirks but a stellar product
Ok, so here's the deal: a lot of the reviews identify some tricky elements of this cup but I think it's just a matter of setting expectations. So here's what I've found after using this mug for almost 6 months.Yes, this filter insert is "hard to clean". But honestly, I find all reusable filters hard to keep clean one way or another. Metal tea balls are more robust but they stain and they impart a metal taste in your tea that you may not even be aware of until you switch to glass. When I clean the insert for the cup, I just use my finger to massage around the drainage slits. This works for 90% of all my usage. If something is REALLY stuck, I have a very thin pairing knife that I use to poke just the tea leaves, not the glass. I recommend soaking the filter cup if it's been sitting out for a while so that the tea leave is nice and soft and can be easily poked out. And if you find that this just doesn't work for you, you can still use any other strainer. The rest of the cup is still worth it.This sort of leads me into point 2; I've read a couple reviews saying the glass is thin. The cup itself is hefty. Almost like a thin ceramic mug. I actually dropped it tonight on a wooden floor... it bounced and some how remained unscathed! So I think this is legit borosilicate glass. But yes, the strainer insert is thin, like a wine glass. If you think about it, if they made it any thicker, they probably wouldn't be able to safely cut those drainage slits. Yes, this means the filter insert is probably very fragile. I just use extra care to not drop it and its usually sitting on a piece of cloth or on the lid.The lid, people have mentioned it doesn't seal. True, you cannot lift it from the lid. However, that's not really the point of these style of cups. It's not a travel mug. The lid is used to maintain heat, especially for teas steeped at a lower temp. The silicone seal does swell a little with heat and locks in the heat. I've found it works with and without the strainer. So just keep in mind, this isn't a travel mug.If you can set your expectations with the information listed above, I think you'll find this a 5-star product. I honestly cannot believe my cup made it through that fall (without the strainer mind you) but even if it did break, I would gladly buy this again. It really makes every cup of tea feel like a ritual. To be able to watch my tea change color as it steeps is absolutely mesmorizing, especially with vibrant blends like teas with hibiscus or butterfly pea flower. This would make an excellent gift especially with one of those blooming tea balls. Also, as a heavy tea drinker, I appreciate how large this cup is. I attached a photo with my very large hand for reference because I didn't appreciate how ample this cup is when I bought it; it think it can comfortably steep 16 fl. oz. Most dinner mugs are around 8-12 for reference.I love this mug and I hope that you love it too now that I've shared what this cup is and is not!

Love it
Excellent. Being of glass, need to be careful.Broke the strainer within a month. Great seller / customer service. Contacted them. Kind of surprised that they’re sending me a free replacement. Will likely buy more products from Lezero.

Cute Little Tea Cup
First of all, I love it, it's cute, I like that's it's clear so I can see the colors of the tea BUT you will burn your fingers. The handle itself does not get hot, If your middle finger touches the side of the cup while your holding the handle, it will burn the snot out of you! Just be aware of that and try not to touch the side and you'll be fine. Otherwise, a great purchase.

DURABLE
I can't tell you how many time I've accidentally dropped this cup but it has survived. It looks very delicate but its actually pretty thick or I've had some good luck. I've used the steeper part of it and if you are using loose leaves I'd recommend using some type of fine cheese grate to keep the leaves out of your drink. Other than that I love my little cup. Also don't microwave the cup with the top I've made that mistake a few times.

Not worth it.
The tea leaves go through the holes of this which defeats its whole purpose. I decided on to return because I like the glass and the lid when I’m steeping but I use a different steeper so my tea is free of leaves after. Don’t recommend though. Doesn’t work as needed.

Nice but…
The tea cup is a nice piece to look at, it is a good size and easy to clean. Unfortunately upon receiving the tea cup the lid was already damaged with nicks. Disappointing as the tea cup is really nice otherwise.

Nice cup!
It's an attractive cup,and I love the lid. Some things to consider. You need to use a tea bag or larger loose tea, like flower or fruit teas. It can be extremely hot through the glass so use caution when picking up. Other than that,it's a pretty tea cup and would make a lovely gift. I'm enjoying my splash of red wine in this cup as well.
