I wish this book was available when our son was being diagnosed and treated for ALL 7 years ago. He is a survivor and in college now. I think it would have been beneficial to have a chapter on cancer survivors and the struggles that many survivors have after their treatments are completed. However, the description of how the patient reacts to chemo treatments and family reactions were very similar to our experience. I know we would have reacted differently to our sons disposition on chemo days and subsequent days when he was tired and didn't want to go back to school. Fortunately, he was still playing on several high school teams and on many days was self motivated. Our son asked us to read this book so we as parents would understand what he went through during treatments. I would give this book 5 stars if they had discussed the need for cancer support groups for children and young adults during and after treatments are completed. It is organized to address issues you might be facing.
