The four screws that attaches the sanding disc to the motor arbor are not Phillips. They are a torx head. They come out very easily. It should take you less than 20minutes to complete the job. You should also add a foam pad to the repair ( available at Amazon) for the rounded corners and edges on your projects.

Appear to be of good quality. Fits Dewalt perfectly.

They all wear out eventually. Easy replacement.

This product is NOT recommended for purchase. I do not care about a Refund or Return, I simply want to inform potential buyers that this product "sucks". I have purchased 3 that failed with the same results (look at the pictures). With light sanding with 100 grit sandpaper on somewhat smooth 2X4 studs, the base plate broke away from the Dewalt 5" orbital sander all three (3) times. Perhaps a metal backplate would have been better (as with a "stock" Dewalt base plate or sanding pad or whatever you want to call it. Never again. Sorry, I cannot rate this below one star -- I would if I could.
