Feels like a pleather material out of the box. Became very supple quicker than any of the other whips I own. It is a tad too light for whip standards but still cracks fairly well and loud. Comes with replacement crackers.For $30, this has great value. For beginners, go with the 8 footer. This 6 feet version is more difficult for my wife who has never tried one compared to the 8 foot one. However a 6 foot whip may be the perfect size for ages 8-15. (Use with caution). The 8 foot version is the perfect size for any seasoned whippersnapper as well as beginners.

Got this for my 13-year-old grandson who very quickly caught on how to use it. It is very sturdy and it makes a loud cracking sound for sure! I suggest to purchase some extra crackers with it because they do wear out and that way you have some on hand. Purchase just for a fun new adventure and it proved to be a good one.

Nice quality. Bought for my 15 year old son for Halloween and he loves it. Didn't come with the extra poppers as advertised and as others have stated.

Had bought a few of these to be used as a prop for a stage show this is the only none that held up and is still beautiful and on working order after rehearsal and 9 shows!

Beautiful whip. I've been using it as a prop for a Catwoman cosplay although since it's also an actual bullwhip I've learned to crack it and it sounds awesome =] It's been a wonderful step up from the Halloween store one I started with and it looks awesome in pictures. The total length comes to around 7 feet and as a 5’2 person it’s enough to look dramatic in pictures without being cumbersome to carry around cons. It’s a bit light and is not the toughest model out there but for my needs it’s just what I was looking for. As stated it did not come with the Extra Crackers as Advertised and I also paid for 2 day Shipping and didn’t receive it for 10 days. The whip seems to have a predetermined curve in the belly just after the handle which means that I may only be able to feasibly crack it while holding it in the specific direction where the predetermined curve can roll out. I have yet to go out and crack it will add more when I do but as of right now I’m upset that the whip didn’t come with the extra crackers it claims and that I missed my opportunity to use it for its intended purpose because it took so long to get here when I paid for it to be expedited.

The media could not be loaded.  I dressed up as Catwoman for Halloween this year and was looking for a whip that wasn’t expensive. I had considered purchasing something from a porn store but that’s not cost effective, so I came across this and it was perfect.It is long so beware of this. I’m a photographer and digital creator and have included a video of myself in costume using the whip. If you’re not careful with it you could swing it and the bounce back will hit you.My only complaint is that this is a bit stiff at the handle, which goes down a little a little too far. I know this a bull riding whip but it should be more softer on the hands when gripping it. Nonetheless, if you’re looking for a whip to add to your costume, this will get the job done. You can even repurpose it for something else if you want. Either way, you’ll be good.Happy Halloween!
