Great Shear For Tight Spaces
These shears are perfect for making cuts in places where larger shears won’t fit. Fruit and flowers will often grow tightly together, which makes it difficult to make a precise cut with regular size shears and pruners. The DRAMM 18024 shears can fit into narrow gaps and make the cut you want without harming the surrounding fruit or flowers. I have been using these shears for months now without any major problems. When cutting sticky plants, such as okra, the blades would sometimes stick together between cuts until I cleaned the plant sap off the blades. I also made the mistake of pruning a branch that I should have used a larger pruner on, which led to pinching my finger between the shear grips. The shears seem to be made well. So far they have stayed sharp after a full summer of use in the garden. I also like the little sheath that was provided to cover the pointy blades. I will update if I have any problems with the shears in the future.

I use them to clip herbs from my garden
Go ahead, make fun of me if you want to. That's ok. I'm a big boy. I can take it. That said, I have found these to be a really great pair of clippers for liberating sage, oregano, dill and oodles and oodles of basil which needs to be harvested regularly or it will take over everything. I might not use these on extremely thick branches or stems because they are small and strictly for precision, but for the herbs and the loose tomato suckers and such, the cuts are clean and precise. They wipe off well and go right back into their protective sheath. I also like that you can operate them easily with one hand. The shear lock is between the handles and can easily be retracted and locked with a swoop of a well-placed thumb. Are they the most durable item? I wouldn't say they could endure everything, the metal in the handles seems a little lightweight, but the blades are sharp and precise. The fit and finish is tight and they do exactly what they promise to do. I recommend them with enthusiasm.

Theyre nice & sharp.
I love these! Theyre small and super sharp. Comes with a tiny little covering for the blade part that probably wont last. Theyre sturdy, sharp, & work well but I do think its overpriced; i know i saw the same for cheaper at a local nursery...too bad i already had these ones.

best plant cutting tool
I just love this tool. I lost my first one and had to replace it immediately. It's perfect for houseplants and vegetable plants.

Great Shears, but really need a proper sheath
I got these for trimming tomatoes after my kids lost my pair like this by Fiskars. These shears are SOOO much better than the Fiskars. They are a bit larger so they fit my larger male hands better and they have a really nice heft to them. For pruning our indeterminate tomatoes, they glided through everything I needed to cut with very little effort. I trimmed a whole row of plants in very short order! I think I am going to buy another pair so my eldest son can help me with trimming. Good tools are a must!I removed one star because the minimal plastic sheath for the cutting tip, when the shears are together, come off WAY too easy and is basically disposable. Which means storing them there is a very pointy tool out. Certainly not ideal. I'd definitely still buy them and I will just make a nice leather sheath that fit the entire shear in.

Bulletproof!
I’ve had a pair of these for years but couldn’t find them. Quickly bought a new pair then found the old ones. I won’t complain asboth will outlast me. For pruning flowers, these can’t be beat. Easy to open and lock again. Remove one screw and they come apart for cleaning and a quick pass over a sharpening stone. Great for tight pruning like Geraniums. Can’t say enough good things about them. A solid 5 stars!!
