Are the soles completely flat, without a slight wedge for the heel?

Yes, they are completely flat.This was a concern for me, also, as I am 5' 10" tall and don't want a heel and because I have a bad back as it is. I didn't want a heel.

Is it real sheep skin or fake?

Either these slippers are knock-offs or Bearpaw quit making genuine wool shearling slippers. I previously bought the LOKI II version and they came with genuine white wool shearling on the insole, genuine suede outsole and a strip of a darker fake acrylic type fur on just the outer cuff of the slide for decoration. These slippers lasted over 3 years with DAILY, sometimes all day wear. No odors, or rashes, they come in WIDE sizes so I can wear my wool socks with them as well, and over time the leather insole molded to my feet perfectly. Sadly, they finally are giving up the ghost and the shearling has worn away at pressure points as you would expect a natural fiber to do. Sooooo..... I came back to replace them. UNFORTUNATELY the new slippers that I received have cheap dyed acrylic insoles that match the color/"fur" on the decorative portion of the outsole. They aren't even made of wool shearling at all. Needless to say I sent them back...

I don't need to pay almost $50 to wear plastic bags on my feet and then contribute to more phthalates and micro plastics polluting our drinking water and soil after the insoles are matted and gross after only 3 months thanks... I can do that for for two .5 cent bag deposits at the grocery store and come out with the same sweaty feet but ahead financially. Do yourself a favor and just buy the UGGS, these plastic junk "vegan" fibers they push don't hold up and just pollutes your body and the environment with a polluting footprint lasting millennia.

Why does the pitcher not match the actual bear paw picture of this Loki slipper

The picture is that of the Bearpaw Loki slipper. maybe it is just the angle of the slipper.

Since these are slides with no back at all to them, will they stay on your feet?
