Troy BattleSight Front HK Fixed, black

light and solid, looks good, does what it is supposed to do...

I wanted a front fixed sight that wasn’t a flip up. My friend in the military recommended that I check out Troy. Glad I decided to go with this. Great quality and will be there is my main optic ever goes down.

I bought a Windham Weaponry Carbon SRC. I discovered after buying the rifle that the front gas block rail is 0.04 lower than the rear rail.Troy indicates "Sight is designed to work on same-plane rail systems only" "•Will not work with a railed gas block that is higher or lower than the receiver". I have been able to adjust the front sight to zero even though the front sight is slightly lower. 0.04" is not very far so I believe that is why I can raise the post up enough.The locking mechanism on the sight post is a bit of a pain initially, however it guarantees that once set it will not change.The sight fit the rail with out any issues and tighten in place with out any front-back movement.If you are looking for a good looking and fully functional sight system, I recommend the Troy Front HK Battle Sight along with the Troy Di-Optic Aperture Rear Fixed Battle Sight. Both are, at least at the time of this review, available on Amazon.

Great piece of kit,you have to slide it onto the pic rail from the front it does not clamp on. however, when it is on it is sturdy. Troy makes awesome components and does not spare any expense with making sure it fits to the proper tolerances on your pic rail. for 55 bucks it's a good deal

I bought the Troy BattleSight fixed front sight (HK) to pair with my Midwest Industries Combat rear flip slight on my AR carbine. The circular hood of the Troy BattleSight fits perfectly inside the aperture of the MI Combat. It's easy to match up the two circles for sight alignment which speeds up target acquisition.PROS:- Great machining, sturdy feel in-hand- Serrated front sight cuts down on glare and keeps the sight nice and dark- Easy installation by sliding it onto the picatinny rail (*helpful hint: you have to slide it on)- Stable front post does not lean, it's straight up and down. And, it has held a good zero (300 rounds so far from writing this review)- GSA number so it's been vetted for government purchaseCONS:- Does not come with front sight height adjustment tool- Each click is equivalent to Rifle 1.5 MOA/ Carbine 1.75 MOA based on the packaging. There is a note that says results may vary. I do feel there's a bit too much error per click. I was using a target at 25 yards converted to 100 yard MOA, and one click seemed to move it 4 MOA (*at 100 yards). It could have been 2 MOA, and me shooting the other 2 MOA, but one click would move it up or down the same 4" inch distance every time. Given my rifle is set up for CQB, it seems negligible with a silhouette target at 25 yards.I'm a proponent of a fixed front sight being paired with a RDS for an AR carbine at 1/3 co-witness. Flip up front sights still need to be deployed, they can be jumpy, and they can be bumped.
