The best value Dry snorkel I've had
I first used the Cressi Supernova Dry snorkel about three years ago during a summer in Aruba. It held up wonderfully until a strong current pulled it away—unfortunately, the hook can slip off the mask if it’s not carefully clamped. After switching to a backup semi-dry snorkel for the rest of that trip, I knew I wanted the Supernova again. When I found a good price, I picked up a replacement, which has been with me for over two years and accompanied me on three major trips: two three-week trips to Aruba and one to Raja Ampat. This snorkel has performed flawlessly throughout. Its dry top mechanism keeps water out effectively, even in choppy conditions, and I always make sure to rinse it thoroughly to prevent sand buildup. Compared to other cheaper brands I’ve tried, the Supernova’s build quality and reliability are unmatched for the price range. After two years of regular use, the silicone mouthpiece and clear flex tubing have become slightly more opaque but remain soft and durable. The mouthpiece is particularly comfortable for my medium-sized jaw, with no cracking or drying out. While I notice the airflow is slightly less than my Scubapro semi-dry snorkel, it’s more than sufficient for my lung capacity, and I never feel restricted.Traveling light is essential for me, and I appreciate that the Supernova can be disassembled into two pieces for compact packing. This, along with my Scubapro Supernova split fins, allows me to fit all my snorkeling gear and clothing into a 40L backpack.Overall, the Cressi Supernova Dry snorkel is an essential part of my snorkeling kit. It’s hard to find a better-performing snorkel in this price range. For anyone on the fence, this is a reliable dry snorkel—provided you take care of it. Washing it carefully after each use and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun will help it last. With over 300 hours of snorkeling experience as an intermediate snorkeler, I can confidently recommend the Cressi Supernova to anyone looking for a dependable and well-designed snorkel.

Top Performing Dry Snorkel At A Reasonable Price!
This snorkel is a winner! One of the best performing dry snorkels in the industry. Selecting dive gear is a very personal thing and everyone has their preferences. Some folks keep it super simple and want the simplicity of an open J-tube type snorkel. For those seeking the features and convenience of a dry snorkel, the Cressi Supernova Dry is virtually impossible to beat. Works exactly as expected and is reliable dive after dive. With a simple fresh water rinse after use, the Supernova works every time all the time. On the rare occasion that sand or small debris gets lodged in the top float mechanism, a toothbrush and a flush with water does the trick. The breathing and overall performance over time of the Cressi Supernova is definitely superior to other less expensive look-alike snorkels. As a retired rescue diver, I've owned and used a broad range of diving gear & goodies. I have typically been disappointed when going on the cheap and purchasing copy-cat gear from me-too companies. From my decades of diving experience, I have learned to see my dive gear as genuine life support equipment. Buying quality stuff has always paid dividends and has kept this sport consistently enjoyable. Check out this excellent Cressi Supernova Dry snorkel for yourself. You'll be glad you did.

When it says dry it is that
This has been the best snorkel I have used and my third dry snorkel. When this one says dry that is what I have experienced. The mouth piece is easy to hold in your mouth and easy to breath with. The connection to the mask did take a bit to get on but once one it has been solid. The quick disconnect keeps it attached without worrying that it would come off when you don't want it to. It also stays in place on the slide unlike others that I have tried. If you're shopping for a quality dry snorkel look no further as this one is awesome. (Note all my dives so far have been in fresh water but see no reason why it won't perform as well in salt water just remember to clean it as with all you gear in fresh clean water.

I love this snorkel
I am an instructor in Singapore and I love this snorkel. I normally dive with groups around South East Asia but due to covid all diving is local at the moment.Due to high currents and random large waves from container ship traffic, is is easy to get a mouthful of water with most snorkels. This snorkel is great. No water and folds up very easily. Great flow and a comfortable mouthpiece. Not that it's necessary, but also easy to clear.

It helped a lot without drinking sea water...
Works very well! You do stay dry when submerged. We used it on a cruise to Mexico. Good quality. The only thing is if it was just a little more flexible. When you have it on the mask it was kinda rigid even with the flexible part. Not a big deal on short snorkels we went on but if I were to do more lengthy dives it would be something that followed my face better.Good for recreation, when you don't use it everyday like my family.

This is the one. Comfortable and stays dry. Has quick release, and purge valve.
This thing is great. Comfortable mouth piece. The float that blocks water entering the end of the snorkel work really well. Seals up quickly and tight so the is no leakage. One user commented that the float would get stuck and he couldn't use it. You need to stop sucking to release the float and get the air flow back. After a few min of using it and taking waves overhead it will be like second nature. Best part is you will be able to concentrate on the sea life and not on clearing your snorkel. Comes with quick release clip so it's easy to take on and off your mask. Also has a purge valve below the mouth piece so if it come out of your mouth it's easy to clear.
