Annamaet Grain-Free Aqualuk Cold Water Fish Formula Dry Dog Food, (Salmon & Herring), 5-lb Bag

Day two after delivery and while I failed to progressively work this food into his diet, my dog (a one year old male Klee Kai) had no issues in his stools. 3 times before this change, I've changed his dry food, he wouldn't like it until he absolutely had to eat it (because he was so hungry). Because of this, I ended up cooking him meals with whatever meat seems to make sense, carrots, celery, oatmeal, rice, chia seeds, and sometimes turmeric, mushrooms, and spinach, which of course he loves. With this, after the switch over, he asked for more and more until I had to cut him off over concern of overfeeding (he scratches at his dog bowl when he wants more). Mannerism-wise, so far, it seems he has a steady flow of energy with little highs and lows (no zoomies, thus far and no crash). Over time, I'll be able to report more: energy and coat quality, included. Fiingers crossed that it only improves and that I've finally found a dry food I can rely on, fully, to make it his permanent one).

After much research we decided to go with this brand for our dogs. Like the fact that it is a family company, ingredients are top grade and you get a person to speak with on the phone with any questions. Our boys love the food and do very well on it.

We had to supplement our Chewy order and this was easier than driving 25 miles to the pet store that carries it.

This is an amazing (and pricey) food, but so good for large breeds with joint issues. All salmon diet; dogs LOVE it! Very high quality. If your dog is having a hard time getting around and problems with her/his coat, this might be your dog food. For my pup, it was just too rich with all of the salmon oil that she couldn't form her excrement well, so had to get off. There are no ages on this food, but I would not use for puppies. Adult dogs definitely.

I was hoping this would be a win for my dogs but they still got yeast overgrowth in their ears.

I like the list of ingredients. And, my dog likes it too. I was buying another brand of dog food, my dog started itching & had dandruff, changed to Annamaet Grain-Free Aqualuk Cold Water Fish Formula, no more dandruff, no more itching. YAY!

My dog absolutely loves this food. It's super good ingredients which satisfies your pup, so they won't eat as much. My dog is 11 yrs old and people can't believe it - they think she's still a pup. (Of course, I don't give her junk either other than an occasional vegetable or bite of egg).

Our 9 year old shep/lab mix developed a poultry allergy and suffers from terrible arthritis in her hips and knees (2acl surgeries later). Bc of the allergy (possible allergies) we were recommended to try a fish base kibble. Xena enjoys this brand and we have seen positive results from consumption. It is difficult to get the 15lb bag in the stores but the company seems responsible and good. Also the bag is recyclable! The kibble is pellet size and could be an issue for smaller dogs (chihuahuas).
