The price, quantity, included extras like the knobs, and a well-designed plastic case kept my score high. However...A kit like this really should have come with nine or at least seven dividers instead of just one. That way each value of potentiometer can be separated from the others. Nine groups of three. Then the knobs could be separated into two groups of 13 and 14 or three groups of 9 or one group of 27, depending on how many dividers there were included.All of the washers and nuts were loose in the case. I employed the help of my youngest with placing the washers and nuts on each of the 27 pots. Could have been done by machine at the factory but whatever. One of those touches of quality often missed by Amazon and other marketplace sellers that make the difference between a reliable source of parts and just another online K-Mart with fairly priced but lower value goods.

I bought these for guitar pedal building. If that's what you bought them for then don't. They are useless and one few that did work were extremely scratchy and produced noise through my amp when adjusting them. If you're buying them for pedal building I suggest you get quality parts from a pedal building supplier such as small bear, Tayda or mouser. Or literally anyone that has quality parts, these are not quality.

Slight residue on all the pots, but not odorous. All worked within tolerances.

I tried a few of these and they are all work fine for a couple of times and then they stop working or breaking. Definitely buying more but not from this seller.
