After Hours, Vol. 1 (1)

This manga is SO GOOD! I’ve already ordered the next two, and will likely order more in the series further down the line as well. My roommate borrowed it from me and is thoroughly enjoying it as well :)

I think this is the 1st manga I've read that focused on both a yuri couple AND the late night DJ/club scene. I like the characters, and the story flows smoothly, if not a little fast. I'm interested to see how this sort continues.

Came a day earlier than expected, which is totally awesome.I'm gonna jump right into why I fell in love with After Hours: the two main characters, and the story weaving around them.Emi is a 24-year-old who isn't sure what she wants from life when she meets Kei, an older woman who DJs at nightclubs in her spare time. The next few days are a bit of a whirlwind as she gets more involved with Kei. The narritave follows Emi as she questions what she wants from life, and what her next step should be, as well as her navigating her new relationship with Kei.It's a solid, character-driven story. It's also an excellent beginning to a larger plot, and I'm excited for Vol. 2!

So, in response to other reviews, forget genre, this story is awesome.It's the beginning of the perfect romance Berwyn characters that have internally excepted who they are, but are searching for the way forward.I was hooked from the moment I read the description, and after reading Volume 1, my only disappointment is that Volume 2 is not out yet.To the reviewer that stopped a third of the way through the first volume, I am not sure you were ever the target audience, but I wish that you had read further. Sex happened, but it was such a small part of the story, even up to that point.

This story of a young woman who is obviously at a crossroads in her life, but also harboring some secrets, and the stylish hipster DJ she meets when her best friend abandons her at a club, is full of atmosphere and style, with a bit of an edge to it. It seems that this is the protagonist's first time falling for another woman, but what is it that she is hiding? The story is intriguing and fun. I look forward to reading more.

It is rather good. Stories well paced, and the characters start lovable. Can't wait to open the second one. I could see an anime of this working.

the art and story are so refreshing! i loved reading this manga :)

A yuri manga series aimed at 30 somethings as apposed too teens...I'm not the target audience however i did enjoy this 1st volume enough too wishlist vol.2 its about relationships in a real world setting and has alot of very realistic situations, its only just beginning but i will stick with it too see what happens.
