Easy to use, negatives to digital images in seconds - good quality - well worth it
This is the third film to digital scanner I've purchased, and it is the best. The others worked, but not easily and I always had problems. This unit has a nice display to show you where your alignment is and it captures good quality images from the slides. It is a nice size, not too big, not too small. You'll need to remember to check for dust and clean it, but that is simple with the supplied cleaning stick (or a can of compressed "air"). I highly recommend this unit for home users - professionals may have different standards, but it certainly would work for their proof sets.

Great God-send for digitizing negatives and slides.
PROS: Has been a God-send to work my way through digitizing hundreds of slides and negatives. Simply love it. Automatically senses and turns negatives into positives, the one button records at high quality 24 MP. capable of minor adjustments in brightness either direction. buttons quickly turn view upside down or side to side to correct mis-load. Strong recommendation for ease, power source (USB). Price was great... super value for time and effort saving.CONS: Wishlist would include zoom capability to read any writing on slides to determine orientation, direct output save to computer, and multi slide tray although it is pretty easy to push slides through the jig one after the other.

For the price and the results, I recommend it.
I bought this to make digital copies from hundreds of negatives. Bottom line: It works great! Easy to use, fast processing, and good quality results. But let’s be clear. If you expect pro-level copies, this ain’t for you, but it’s a real good way to save photos from your old slides and negatives. Some of the reviews noted that the device isn’t the best for editing photos. I agree. If you want to do some editing, the device will save the photos to an SD card, so you can then edit them on your computer. Again, very easy. For the price and the results, I recommend it.

It works for 35mm slides
This works fine for someone who doesn't have many slides to convert. (I had about 80 - 35mm slides to convert.) It is pretty much plug and play. It worked with both a Windows 10 Desktop and a MacBook Air (I needed to buy a USB to thunderbolt adapter). You don't need to buy a SD card, it has storage. Like other reviews, make sure you load it so it doesn't produce a mirror image. Bottom line, I like this product. It was a low cost solution that works.

Worked perfect for digitizing over 1000 slides.
I signed up to help my mom digitize her slide collection. It was a process, but this made it easy. Time saving hint: you do not need to un-click the slider thing and open it for each slide, you can just slide the slide in. Overall, it was easy to figure out, devise a system for storage on my laptop, and use! (Mac user)

Good scanner, modest learning curve.
I would like to give this scanner a 5 star rating, but there are a number of issues with it that will downgrade it for someone who is fairly picky with their scans.Pro:Very fast, easy to use. Slide the film in and move it from one picture to the next. With a good negative, the scans are crisp and clear. The menu makes it relatively easy to adjust the overall brightness and color tint. The included cleaner makes quick work of any dust particles. With the USB setting, transferring files to the computer for storage is very fast & easyCon:You don't get a full scan, there is always some cropping. If the negative is thin, the lighting can be uneven, brighter on the edges than the center - plus colors are off on the edges. On a thin negative with little detail, the scan is orange, you have to do some fiddling to get decent color. It would be nice to be able to scan directly into the computer.

Does the job it seems.
I finally took it out of the box and started working with it looking at slides. It's fairly intuitive to use. Make sure to format the SD card if there is an SD card error. I was able to easily capture, save, and then upload to my PC the pictures. It seems to have enough sense to know whether pictures were already downloaded and it give the filenames in a numbered sequence. Like your cell phone, it's simply a matter of finding the "DCIM" directory and copying from the SD card to your computer. The resolution is high so keep in mind this will scan every defect of the slide like scratches. Also keep in mind the color of older material.
